Why it is called now CD Projekt RED when they were called just CD Projekt before developing The Witcher 2?

CD Projekt is the parent company. It owns CDPR and GOG. It also owns Metropolis Software and gram.pl. It used to have subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and Hungary, but I believe those are now independent.

CD Projekt RED is the design studio that CD Projekt created to develop The Witcher. CD Projekt RED developed The Witcher and The Witcher 2.
