Me again, just a step back: re-reading your previous post, I saw that your're using the dipendencies for the steam version of the witcher 2, right?
If so, have you tried runnin' the game directly from Steam?
Otherwise, if you have the GOG version, are you sure all this dependencies are installed (list taken directly from gog The Witcher 2 page in minimum system requirements box)
"Minimum system requirements - Linux: Ubuntu 14.04 / Linux Mint 17, Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, GeForce 9800 GT 512MB - NVIDIA binary driver 331.79 or later is recommended (AMD/ATI and Intel cards are not supported). Installed packages: libc6:i386 libasound2:i386 libasound2-data:i386 libasound2-plugins:i386 libgtk2.0-0:i386 libsdl2-2.0-0:i386 libsdl2-image-2.0-0:i386 libfreetype6:i386 libcurl3:i386 and dependencies. For xbox pad support, an additional driver such as xboxdrv or xpad is needed. The game comes with a 32-bit binary only. "
And also, sudo apt-get install libcurl3-gnutls
Last try, look if this page can help you! (I hope!)
Let us know! :)
All dependencies are installed in the newest version. (only libasound2-data was used instead of libasound2-data:i386)

using :" ldd witcher2 | grep "not"" shows no output so all dependencies should b iinstalled.

Tested all things mentioned in the link but still nothing happens after klicking play. No more terminal outputs.

Thank you for trying to help
