Wasn't there a Louis Merse in Visima's Temple quarter just up the 'street' from Ramsmeat's place? Is this the same guy? I thought he had a wife and a dog and that some of us wondered why they had a dialogue option that did not go anywhere or seemed like a left-over. Is my brain getting soft? or is this something I remember correctly? I could have sworn that was the guy's name tho. ( just for clarification, TW2 Louis Merse is the guy who pays us for endriga and nekker quests, and runs the post office)

The NPC you're talking about is Marcus Vertz.

He lives with Ida Vertz and a dog in a house near the hospital in Chapter II, then they move to the slums in Chapter III. And that's pretty much all they do. Guess they were a part of a scrapped quest or something.
