What are your thoughts on the functionality / layout of the map?

I find it a bit quirky. Especially when it switches from far zoom to close zoom. The two just don't seem to correspond. The other issue that it only sometimes highlights objects of interest when hovering the cursor over them?

And would be nice to see your location on the zoomed out map.

Zoom on the mouse wheel seems way too slow as well.

How about adding way points on the map?

The two maps dont correspond. In fact the main map is the most useless map in any game i have ever seen.Even the pdf map is pretty much useless. One another frustrating thing is that the roads in the level map and that shown in the mini map in game dont match. For eg the flotsam mini map dont show the roads in the jungle properly.so i have to switch to the map menu and check if i am in the right direction.IMHO this is the most useless map system ever.
Map markers would be cool but they are more useful in games like GTA where u have to drive for long distances.
The ability to drop pins would have been quite useful on Act II, esp. on Roche's path, and even somewhat in Act III (marking buildings as cleared or not, for instance).
