I've looked around a bit and haven't found anything about this.

After patch 1.2 which makes the game playable on my config, I wanted to really start it.

But when I launched it earlier, I remarked that the cursor didn't appear in-game.

Tell me, it should ALWAYS be displayed, right? Or am I missing something?

It still doesn't show up when I equip a sword.

It's annoying even for speaking to NPCs.

And I don't remember having that issue earlier (even with that patch).

Thanks for the help.

Cheers.

I never had any cursor displayed in game.

Even with a sword out i never had one. The tiny 'reticule' only shows up when there are enemies on screen.
Get into a dialog where you have an option. There is one right at the start with Triss. If the mouse cursor appears then your game is working fine. There is no cursor during other parts of the game like fighting and moving around.

You have floaters for npc's and containers when you turn in their direction, yeah, not really a cursor though.

There's a cursor when you talk to people. You use it to select an answer/question/topic.
You're probably thinking of something else. Zoidberg is talking about the mouse cursor.

It seems to me Zoidberg is asking about a cursor that is always displayed in game, as in a cursor that would allow you to be precise about what you're selecting, be it an npc from a crowd to start a coversation or a container from a stack to loot, and there isn't one, you have to rely on the inacurrate directional floaters to select stuff.
I believe OP is looking for a cursor similar to the one seen in Witcher 1 when you hold down the shift key while using the Over the Shoulder camera. That's not available here. You can only see/use the cursor during dialogue/looting/menus etc, not in combat.

I would love to have that in this game, don't know why they removed it.
OK, my bad: no cursor is displayed outside of menus or dialogues.

Thanks guys! :)
actually, ever since patch 1.2, i've had this weird glitch while using the steam overlay that makes an in-game crosshair cursor appear.
