Shani is completely retconned out of the story in TW2. No mention of her at any point. The game doesn't assume you professed your undying love for Triss in TW1. no matter your choice - since that choice is now 'made' during TW2 instead - but no matter if you were in a relationship with Shani or not, it makes no difference in the game. I understand those people who might be upset by this, but I personally thought Shani was a poor romance option to begin with. As a character in the game she was fine, but as a romance option she was horrible. She felt very forced-in.
