People talk like this game is DX9 sometimes and DX10-11 other times. I'm confused about what it really is. I strongly suspect DX9 because it lacks the coolest feature of the latter: Object motion blur, or the ability for things to blur in game independently. It makes things look much more realistic, and we've yet to see it in a big 3rd person action title other than Lego Star Wars 3, where it looks absolutely gorgeous.
Last I heard, The Witcher 2 only uses DX9, and doesn't even support DX10 or DX11. Are you saying that some people have claimed otherwise? :/
Agree with Kindo on this one . I use EVGA Precision for monitoring purposes and it plainly shows D3D9 or DX9 . Maybe at some point in the future there might be some DX11 inclusion .
Yeah, they made the game use only DX9, in order to make the transfer to console easier to achieve, I think. It doesn't exclude a future update that adds support for DX10/DX11, however, but I doubt they'll start looking into that until after they've finished with the console version, first.
