Hello guys, i installed The Witcher 2 and my pc is pretty crappy, so it runs at VERY low fps.

Is there any way to kill the graphics to improve the fps? I've tried lowering everything but i can't get good results.

Well...thanks for reading, i hope you have an answer.

The Witcher 2 is a quite demanding game, so don't expect miracles. Lower the resolution, turn off V-sync, disable Ubersampling, Antialiasing & SSAO and try to play in windowed mode.

You can also try to use this fix - http://www.moddb.com/games/the-witcher-2-assassins-of-kings/downloads/witcher-2-stuttering-fix

replace d3d9.dll in the game folder and edit this file - witcher 2\bin\config\user.ini - so that it contains this:

[config]
RenderAheadLimit=2
FPSlimit=60

Well i don't think it was a miracle, but i did what you suggested and changed almost everything in the user.ini to 0 and now the game is playable (between 20-30 fps i think, didn't have fraps on). The configuration utility didn't do anything really :(

Well, thanks a lot!

You're welcome, enjoy the game! ;)
I checked the fps and it runs about 9-17 outdoors and 20-43 indoors...it's playable for me :D

This worked for me too. The game doesn't run perfectly, but at least it's playable, unlike before. Thanks!

There is screen tearing if I use this. All other options work.

But then tried to increase SSAO and textures to lower the fps. Now looks much better but fps sometimes drops to 40-45, and to 30 VERY rarely. Most of the time 50-60 so it's okay.
