I've just started playing and have got to the mission where you need to stop the hanging. I do the conversation and the fist fight begins. However, there is no health bar shown for the guard and even if I keep on hitting the right buttons for 5 mins + the fight doesn't end!

I youtubed a video of someone else doing it and sure enough once you hit the guard once a health bar should pop up. However, I don't get any such health bar and instead I just have to keep on hitting buttons with no effect. I've tried changing the difficulty to easy and disable hard QTEs but the health bar is just not showing and I can't seem to end the QTE.


[SOLVED] I had to uninstall the FCR mod and then QTEs worked again

FCR isn't the cause of this. Installing it with incompatible mods can be. Other things that break the game are installing/uninstalling FCR mid-way through a playthrough... so I'd not be surprised if you continued having issues with games continuing from this current save state.

I found another user on the CD Project Red forums with the exact same issues and he also found that after removing FCR the issue was solved. Also this was a brand new save that had FCR installed from the beginning and I don't think I had any mods installed other than changing Gerald's hair back to white rather than the grey-ish new look in TW2. It would be odd if a hair mod would have a conflict with the FCR

No issues with FCR in *many* playthroughs here on Win7x64.

You have a second mod, and have issues. I can't say that this is definitely the cause of your troubles... but it looks that way.

The more important bit is that using FCR changes core gameplay elements and it will** stuff up your current save game if you carry on with it.

** at least it has a strong possibility to do so.

Before you find that the later game bad-ass-monsters are immortal or any other game breaking stuff... I'd suggest restarting completely.

You are going to want to start the game over. When FCR is used, and then de installed, it never completely uninstalls in a current game, and it has an effect on the rest of the game for you.
