You learn some characteristics of balistas.

By the way, is the kingdom of Temeria supposed to represent medieval France and the kingdom of Redania Poland? Because their flags -you get to see the Temerian thorought all the prologue, in the flags of the Temerian military camp during the prologue, in the Temerian soldier's armors, Roche's medallion flag, and the Redanian in Chapter 3, in Radovid and his soldier's armors-, because the Temerian flag is composed by white fleurs-de-lis on a blue background (similar to the French medieval flag) and the Redanian flag is kinda of similar to the Polish medieval flag.

Talking about Scottish dwarves... I recall one of the dialogue options you have with Cecil Burdon, when he tells you about the first battle of Vergen between Kaedwen and Aedirn, when Sabrina Glevisig summoned the firestorm... he says something about how the dwarves fighting on the Aedernian side showing their asses to the Kaedweni soldiers when they defeated the Dun Banner. Just like in the film of Braveheart, when the Scots show their asses to the English soldiers, mocking them because of their archers' faillure when trying to decimate the Scottish army.

I learned that a quick way to disarm a bear trap is to step on it and heal up while you're picking it up.
