Try the things suggested by the official Witcher support, if you haven't yet:
If the game closes at an attempt to launch it with “Launch game” option and there is no error message displayed the problem may be related to .NET Framework 4. Try using the hotfix provided here:
http://thewitcher.com/dotnet

The game sometimes do not start on computers meeting minimum system requirements with DirectX 9.0c installed. Installing latest version of DirectX 9 – 9.29 from Microsoft site often helps.

Apart from that:
- Try turning off antivirus software. Make sure witcher2.exe is not sandboxed or blacklisted in your antivirus.
- Turn all settings to application-controlled in the graphics card drivers’ control panel.
Try changing the game’s resolution to the same as your desktop one. If your screen resolution is high, like e.g. 2560×1440, try starting the game with a lower resolution set for the game.
- Run the game in windowed mode.

Please make sure you have installed the game with administrator privileges. If not uninstalling the game and re-installing it “as administrator” is recommended.
