Hey guys/girls
I have just redeemed my copy of TW2 EE on GOG. I was just wondering if it would be possible to use the data i already have from my steam copy and transfer/share with my GOG copy to save me a 15gb d/l. Any help will be much appreciated

Cheers Stall z

I'm not sure about that, even if it would be possible, it would be also a little bit complicated, so I'm afraid your best bet is to download it again from GOG. ;)

No, unfortunately it's not possible. The Steam version uses Steam DRM, so some of the files are altered for Steam embedding. You could replace them with the DRM-free files provided here on GOG, but to get these you have to download the complete installer (the whole 15GB) and install the game :-/
No need to get the files afterwards.
Ssteam (shitty steam) stores saved games in CLOUD. With some effort and guidance, you can track down the files with saved data in YOUR machine, but both their location (folder structure/path) and their type are different and a total mess/chaos. Why good man, the witcher, on steam? The company that created, owns GoG... And it gives it both DRM Free and accompanied by a large digital bag FULL of digital extras, making it a collector's edition of sorts...

Best bet is to open a thread in Steam, asking steam the Witcher players there where (IF) you can get to your saved game in your own machine. And, if you wish to buy 3, by the powers and all gods, prefer GoG, here...
