Im at a part in the story where I can choose between different traps as a reward. This got me thinking and wondering just which trap is the most useful in this game. I'd prefer to carry only one type around with me instead of a bunch of ones that aren't that great.

Im thinking maybe the steel jaws one is cool. But then again in other games its always nice to freeze the enemy so I can either run away or hack him down while frozen solid. I do not know of a list anywhere that lists exactly what traps do and how much damage they do. So should I just pick one like steel jaws and just stick with it?
Snares (the steel jaw traps) are very handy. They're common and light enough, so you can carry and set a lot of them; they do a lot of damage, and they're reusable. If you set several along your enemy's path, you can kill lesser enemies and slow down and weaken powerful ones.
I'm a big fan of Fury. Then again, my favorite bomb is Red Haze and my favorite sign is Axii, so I may just really like mind control/confusion effects. As for the quest that gives you a trap schematic reward... umm... without any spoilers, you just... might want to wait a while on finishing that one, there's a special reward you can choose if you've started one of the other quests (you'll probably know when you get to it).
