I am trying to verify the version of Witcher 2 I am patched to.

Where can I find this info?

There seems to be no indication that the 1.2 patch is downloaded and installed.
I was never even sure I had 1.1.

So where can I find the version number??

If you browse to the folder with the witcher2.exe file in Program Files > GOG.com > The Witcher 2 > bin, you should be able to mouse over it and have it show you the version number.

Ok... It says file version 1.0.6041.43456

Also if I right click on it and go into Properties Details, it says Product Version 0.0.0.0


So where is Patch 1.2 in all of this?

You, my friend, have version 1.0. You should install the 1.1 patch first, then the 1.2 patch.

For the GOG version, patch 1.1 will be in your game list if you scroll below the download files. Other version can get it here: http://en.thewitcher.com/patch/

And no matter what version you have, after installing 1.1 you get the 1.2 patch here: http://www.en.thewitcher.com/patch1-2/

The website says it should automatically download from the launcher, but I don't trust the launcher. Too many issues for too many people, so I'd DL the patches and do the whole thing offline.

In which case I think your Witcher 2 might not be patched. Mine shows 1.2.6276.44681 currently. With each patch the version number was incremented.

Just open the readme, it says which version you have.

When I got this version 1.1 had already been released so I assumed that was what I downloaded. Didn't realize I had to d/l and run separately.

I think this could be made much clearer by GOG.

1.2 installed seamlessly once I got it to 1.1

Had the same issue, and ended up re-downloading the 1.1 patch from my GoG library, applied it, then the launcher automatically detected the need for 1.2
