I noticed in one text or another that the Wild Hunt can be seen sometimes as a fiery chariot and a team of horses in the sky that resemble a comet. I also noticed a huge red comet in the beginning of act II when you are doing that "barrier walk" thing.

Now, well in to act II, at anytime you can look in the sky and see what appears to be a tiny comet. Without spoiling any story elements, as i'm less than halfway through act II, is that comet thing intentional, maybe the Wild Hunt itself, or just a cool design for the sky?

I never made that association, but even if it was, I see no bearing on the story from the way I interpreted it over two playthroughs. So, if it lightens up your imagination, go ahead and believe! ;p

And, yes, you'll learn more about the Wild Hunt as you progress.

that looks like a contrail that was unintentionally left on the texture or a skydome aberration.

needless to say if it was a comet, it would be moving. have you seen it moving?

You're right that it's probably an artifiact, but if you've ever seen a real comet, you'd know that the don't typically move fast enough to be seen moving, and can stay in the sky for days/weeks.

Confirmed that this "comet" is in both chapters 2 and 3. I doubt it's a coincidence.

I remember someone on this forum was reporting this as a graphical bug - like the artits were taking photos of the sky to put it in the game and by accident they included an airplane trail, LoL.

This Wild Hunt / comet thing speaks to me. I doubt it's a bug or that they put it there by accident.

Isn't part of the blood curse prophecy something about a comet?

I thought so. I remember reading "something" about the wild hunt and a comet and a correlation between the two. When chapter 2 starts, during the red mist shit, you can clearly see a red comet blazing through the sky. I just thought it was a nice little nod to the Wild Hunter always hunting you.
