Xbox one controller on Witcher 2 Enhanced edition does NOT work and is NOT recognized by this game. Does anyone have ideas?

I am having the same problem. I need to know what controller to use in Windows 10 for Witcher 2. Any help would be appreciated. I will not try to play the game anymore using keyboard and mouse. I cannot control it with my mouse.

Many games are designed for keyboard control. Generally because there is so much complex interaction.

All the Witcher games are like this.

mine works good, wired usb, "power a" brand, $20 @ walmart jobber.

i do have "force feedback driver for xinput" installed, along /w regular xbone controller drivers, whether ior not that makes any difference.

it is possible though.

I can play Witcher 2 with my Xbox controller on laptop but doesn't work on my pc

thanks for the suggestion. it was kind of a pain, i am using an 8bitDo Pro 2 for XBOX which is an official licensed XBOX One controller. i've been using it for months now and going into "usb game controllers" it shows up as an xbox one controller and haven't had any problems, till today.

so i took your advice and tried to download xbox software, it wasn't recognized, then i downloaded the 8BitDo software and there was an update. after that it was recognized by xbox software but here's the kicker, at first it still wasn't working in game, well until i noticed in the controller options i had to change it from keyboard to controller. :smh: don't tell me that was there all along and i somehow missed it? well i feel like a dumbas_ but hey, it's working and all is well. hope this helps someone in the future. ✌️
