So I'm loving this game so far but I have a few lingering questions.

Do bandits respawn at all? I mean killing monsters is cool but I like to see the finishers on bandits.

Are there a finite amount of contracts or do they just infinitely respawn? I like the conract, I just did the one for the shrieker and it's awesome, and it'd be really cool if they just kept making new contracts.

If you're talking about the bandit camps. No, they don't respawn there again once you kill them. You might still randomly encounter them in Novigrad though. Where they try to attack you (so they can loot you?).

There are a finite amount of contracts. They might add more but the contracts are far from infinite. I wish they were. I'm up to my last few contracts and quests.

Dang, that'd be cool though if it was some what like Skyrim's Bounty system were you got a contract from the board to kill a Shrieker that's in a farmers field or something. I understand it'd be hard to make the hunting random but this game has dynamic beard growth... I feel like they can do anything! haha.

And I wouldn't mind some Contract packs, that'd be neat to get.

That would actually really suck, just as it did in Skyrim. Proper game design is with a finite amount of gameplay. You finish, and move on. With Skyrim, the 'ending' was very anti-climactic and disapointing because it just goes on and on forever.

That's bad game design, and I'm thankful to CDPR they did not screw that up like Bethesda did.

Honestly there are hundreds of "?" quests and notice board quests so you won't get bored or run out anytime soon.

In Velen and Novigrad bandits spawn on the roads fairly often so if you are desperate for a bandit fight travel the roads.
Hmm, I only travel the roads and have never come across a single bandit unless it was an event. I've put in maybe 5+ hours outside the "tutorial" as well.

LOL... Keep playing. You'll find there is much more action and adventure ahead of you. And if you want more - get off the roads and explore the countryside.
Will do haha. Another thing, I keep getting killed due to enemies ganging up on me and surrounding me and just wrecking me.

Like the first mission with Ciri, the wolves surounded me and killed me in under 5 seconds, I couldn't roll or dodge out. I've also experienced this with Geralt as well were I'll get surrounded by enemies and I can't roll or dodge out of the way and I'm killed to quickly to use any spells.

Is this just me being bad or is this a thing other people have?

It's probably just you being bad, so keep practicing - or lower your difficulty, no shame in that. Also, with Ciri, keep in mind that when you use your jump (roll) button, she does this long distance teleport thingy which can be quite handy. The ideal way to approach combat is to hit an enemy a few times and the very moment you spot others approaching, run away - ideally in such a way that you have all enemies in sight. Never remain stationary, dash around the battlefield constantly, and pick your fights. The game becomes reasonably easy that way.
Yes, as Fenixp details - the trick is to keep moving - especially with Ciri since she has such a great "dash" speed. Also - her vitality regens pretty quick, so if you are getting down, just keep out of combat for a bit until it regens.

For Geralt - you'll have to get used to running in, get in a couple of shots - then roll away. Make good use of Quen for protection. Use your potions. When you get Superior Tawny Owl, you'll find it lasts all night (doesn't count down after 6PM and before 7AM) - so that is a great help to keep your Stamina up, allowing you to use signs almost constantly.

Good luck
I'm so happy that contracts are finite, because that means they are unique. Thankfully this isn't Skyrim. Everything Geralt does and says during these contracts, is something he says once during the entire game. Every contract is a hand crafted unique experience - that's why they are so cool to begin with. Every contract has a unique boss who exists once in the entire game. It's obviously impossible for a game to simply "respawn" unique dialog from Geralt and all this stuff! And there are many contracts in the game as it is. I was surprised they managed to implement this many. I much rather have ~20 unique contracts than an infinite amount of garbage I wouldn't keep playing because it's basically the same thing each time...
If you keep reading letters you find, documents that get dropped and notice boards question marks spawn all over the map to investigate. There is plenty of side stuff to do! In fact your biggest problem will eventually be that the only ones left have monsters who are too strong for your character level to defeat.
