So I just finished the quest and she told me to look for a stump behind the house. Firstly, I couldn't find one nearby. There were a bunch of stumps nearby the tree with the hanged men, and couldn't find anything either. Has anybody found this stump yet?

Old post yes, but others might come here searching for the answer.
Not a tree stump.
It's just 20 crowns in a log laying directly behind the house.
Left if you're facing the house's front, right if you're facing the house's rear.

There's a felled log literally directly behind the house. It's almost impossible to miss. :) It's like 2 feet away from the cabin if I remember correctly.
