I started my Gog.galaxy cleint a few hours ago. An update for The Witcher Wild Hunt in the size of 53GB is ready?!

Really now?53GB? why not a new installation?

Everything installed and now you start the CDprojectred launcher EVERY TIME? to be able to play?

This is DRM free?

I don't want to say I'm mighty annoyed right now!

Actually, it should still run fine without the launcher if you start the witcher3.exe.

I haven't played for years and also thought I'd test this new version and I'm very disappointed.

I don't have a witcher3.exe as the other poster suggests, just a REDprelauncher.exe

How do I get rid of it? This is very anti-consumer as it's showing me ads for games I do not own and have no interest in!

Download the game installer files outside of Galaxy, straight from your library on GOG website, and then launch the installer from there. You can then play without Galaxy, and REDLauncher.

Also the REDLauncher is not DRM, as it does not ask you to log in to play. It's just like it was with The Witcher 1 and 2, to get patches, updates, news and the like.

Except Witcher 1 and 2 don't have any content that requires signing up to GOG Galaxy to access, unlike the latest version of Witcher 3.
