I would recommend that you just download the exe files directly from the website. I have tried using the Galaxy client for more than a year, literally since the day it came out, and I have decided every time I've loaded it up that I hate it. It is just broken.

Downloading from the website is better anyway, especially with your internet issues. That way, you can download each part of the game, 3GB at a time, and when the file is finished downloading and is saved on your hard drive, you know for a fact that it isn't going to just disappear when you restart your computer. Then just move on to the next file. Plus, a year from now, should you decide you want to re-play the game, all you have to do is find the files you downloaded and install them instead of having to re-download everything from scratch.

Galaxy really shows you nothing at all about what is being downloaded, what is happening with your download, etc. My brother spent two days downloading TW3 GOTY this week, and the last full day of downloading was just to get the last 4GB. The first 30GB or so downloaded at a normal speed, but those last few gigs crawled.

I cannot get Galaxy to unlock the achievements I earn when I play TW3, and even though I have played the game twice now, it still shows that I have 0 minutes of game time.

I downloaded the Beta version of Galaxy a week or so ago to get the in-game overlay for FPS counter, and have even been updated to the non-beta version since then and I still cannot get the in-game overlay to work.

Anyway, my advice is to avoid Galaxy, and download directly from Account--> Library. Good luck!
