If you aren't still aware of the matter there are 4 skills which don't need to be in a slot to be active:
Aard sweep (under Aard branch, Sign tree) and Heightened Tolerance, Refreshment and Delayed Recovery (all of them under the Potion branch of the Alchemy tree)
If you have invested at least 1 point in one of them, its specific effect is always active. Obviously you still need to slot it to get the mutagen bonus.
What I'd like to know if their tree bonus (e.g. the +5% per point of duration increase for potions of the Alchemy skills) is still applied if fully or at least in part.
