Since the last Fast Ring Update of Win10 to build 10166 The Witcher 3 doesn`t save any more - no checkpoints, not manually, not Quicksave. I cannot say if this is an individual problem (though it worked fine before the new build), I just wanted to warn people with Win 10 TP to test the saving function (F5 is enough, I think) before spending hours for nothing.

wow this is terrible news. Was it a problem in the previous builds? i sure hope the release version doesn't suffer from these problems, if it does no way am i upgrading till its fixed.

Okay, I figured it out. Windows did what it can best - it messed around with the priviliges. I had to take over the ownership of my personal folder (!) again, and now I can write into the save directory, and it works again.

I couldn't even save or change anything in my pictures or documents folders - it was all highjacked by the SYSTEM.

But bill gates knows what's best for your PC trust uncle Bill lol.

I guess i'll stick with Win 7 until win 10 is bug free so in 3 years time it might be safe and stable to use.
