Before getting into this topic I have to state that without fail, I always have idiots making stupid replies of how I don't even own the game and other flame provoking horseshit (This is especially prevalent with Steam users). Just because YOU don't see the game on an account, DOES NOT mean that person doesn't own the game. So, if people cannot use any form of common sense, then they don't belong in this discussion. Simple as that.

NOW ONTO THE ISSUES AT HAND.
As the topic states, there are just simply way too many problems with this game in a number of areas, and I have listed them in order of importance.

1. JUST COME OUT AND SAY GALAXY IS A REQUIREMENT AND KNOCK OFF ALL THE BULLSHIT
Before anyone tries to say any of the usual horseshit, I suggest you read the following, because this isn't just some sort of bizarre coincidence that the Galaxy Downloader showed up, and all of a sudden every way to download installation that worked perfectly fine before, now does not work anymore which is exactly what to do when pushing the use of something you want people to use. Doesn't take a genius to realize and or see that.

a. Installation files for games that are manually downloaded directly from the site now give this error message
Installation failed with code: -3 Checksum error

After doing a search for this error message I found this link:
gog(DOT)com/support/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_preorder/installation_failed_with_code_3_checksum_error

And low and behold what's the very first thing mentioned for a solution:
We strongly advise using GOG Galaxy - our new application which makes downloading and installing games as convenient as possible.

So cut the crap and just come right out and say "THE GALAXY DOWNLOADER IS NOW A REQUIREMENT"

Don't bother trying to try and convince me that something isn't going on here by saying I'm paranoid, or a troll or anything else because I'm not buying it. It's not the browser one is using because this has been thoroughly tested this with multiple browsers done from various computers all with different set ups and it's happening every time. Those computers and browsers have never had these problems before Galaxy came along. So it's not the computer OR the browser. Someone was purposely done to the downloads to break them if Galaxy wasn't used, so that forces people to have to use Galaxy. Again it's what is done inn order force people to use something or not use the product at all, that process no longer becomes free choice.

There is also no way links that all worked fine this entire time that people have downloaded through the same browser for plenty of games, are now magically all of a sudden giving people problems that were never there before. which ONLY Started happening AFTER GALAXY showed up.

2. PATCH FILES
Once again, a system that worked perfectly fine and was easy to use, has been changed. On top of there are no instructions.

What ever happened to simply clicking a link to download it through your account, getting an exe file, double clicking it, then installing it...Done...WTF Before, patch 1.07 the patches for this game were an.exe. Simply download, double click and it installs. Same with the DLC. So what's the deal with this file:
patch_witcher3_1.01-1.07_2.0.0.34-1.bin

What exactly does anyone expect anyone to do with that file, especially without any form of instructions?

What goes through people's heads when they create and upload garbage like this and furthermore, why do people who ALREADY know what to do, actually defend the creators of this crap like they did nothing wrong?

Before the patches for this game were as 1.01-1.02.exe. Simply download, double click and it installs. Same with the DLC.

Someone want to explain to me what the hell is this crap:
patch_witcher3_1.01-1.07_2.0.0.34-1.bin

There are no instructions and no exe file, no second link with it. So what the fuck is anyone supposed to do with that file?

There are also tons of people reporting they are getting all sorts of errors because of this files. I'm still trying to figure out how the hell does thing even get installed, if it even gets installed.

The bin file is part 2 of the patch, if you go to your account on GOG, you will see this quite clearly. If you download the exe which is part 1 of the patch, then everything works.

I suggest that all of you get your facts correct before you try and talk down to me in your replies. Let's look at the facts, then compare them to your reply, and we'll see who looks smarter.

1. There are no instructions listed anywhere on how to install patch 1.07, and you know it. You also know without instructions no one is going to know what to do with a loose bin file. So Quit saying saying moronic things such as "You will see this quite clearly if you were in your account." when you full well already know I was in my account.

2. Patch 1.07 itself is supposed to have 2 things in it, so that way there when you click the download link and download it, you wind up with both, the bin file itself and an exe which allows the bin file to be installed.

3. You full well know that patch 1.07 DOES NOT HAVE THE exe file in it that allows the bin file to be installed which would make it the second part, so stop saying that the bin file is the second part in a download link that only contains 1 part.

If you don't want me to make you look stupid again, then refrain from trying to talk down to me any further.

I haven't used Galaxy once, installed every patch and dlc from the browser, not once had a d/l fail.

Have you contacted support?

I must admit I'd be a bit angry if this happened to me.

What exactly is support going to do? You also say you've never had a download fail like I'm not being able to download it. I've never had a download fail, it's all the other problems that occur with this after it's been downloaded, where the problem is.

Why doesn't someone just upload the supposed exe as an attachment to a reply in this thread, So I can download it.

This is starting to become more of a bother than it needs to be.

What is so difficult about packaging everything together in one folder...Why do game devs have to always make such a mess out of things like this?

People are pipe dreaming if they think I'm going to be polite after morons invade my topics with crap and start flame wars with me calling me names. So with all due respect, you and a few other people have got a lot of nerve making a statement like that to me. Especially after what people did to me with their replies.

BTW it seems to me if all I'm missing is a 1 MB exe then instead of people creating arguments with me, why can't someone that says they have t already just attach it to a reply in this thread?

Oh there is no luck involved in this. Just facts! People want to be stupid, then they have no business complaining how they're being talked to and treated. Cannot apply forum rules to the person being attacked and not to the people attacking the person, that just causes even more problems.

As far as the exe. Why is it not one person that claims it exists as well as has it, has been able to produce it?

That's a sure fire sign of lying.
