Hi. Can someone tell me why when you fight with Wild Hunt, you and all the other witchers use silver swords? They are not wraiths, just a simple elfs. Why i can`t fight withe them with steel sword?
I know that mu question will change nothing but i`m just curious why developers do such thing))

Because their projections are specters. I suspect we aren't killing the wild hunt straight up. Unless we are. Haven't gotten there in this game yet.

They are not "simple elfs" (sic), they are other-worldly. Steel swords are used for ordinary men and beasts, WH creatures are neither.

I always thought that elves should have been more susceptible to the silver as opposed to the steel sword. I understand why it isn't this way as they are not classed as monsters, but they are magical creatures in as much as they don't exist in the real world. Bears, Wolves, Dogs etc, all real world creatures best dealt with steel. It works better in my mind if it something from the real world - steel, from fantasy - silver.
