I grew up on the Sega Genesis, Nintendo GameCube, Total Annihilation, RollerCoaster Tycoon and Bethesda's games. My favorite types of games are usually RPGs and JRPGs, with strategy games and adventure games not too far behind, but I'm generally open to try any genre as long as it doesn't expect unhealthy amounts of time or grind. In addition to gaming, I'm a Christian, metalhead and also a Japan fanatic (but not quite a weeb).
I was a bit concerned about the lack of playtime tracking when I switch to Linux (since Galaxy isn't available for it) but man, Heroic Games Launcher is fantastic for that. I use Steam for 98% of my Linux gaming but Heroic makes it super easy to play my GOG, Epic and Amazon libraries on Linux. Feels good that I don't have to give up too much when I switch everything over next year!
Looks like I might be playing on GOG a bit more... the sheer amount of Prime Gaming codes I can get for games I'm interested in, all for just a one-month sub of Prime? Seems pretty worth it to me, despite the fact that I don't use GOG much anymore. Amazon's a crappy company but that's just an insane deal.
GOG forcing you to allow them to steal and sell your data in order to claim freebies is absolutely DISGUSTING. Steam did the direct opposite by giving you a lot of control over data collection, to the point where you can basically turn all of it off (except the bare minimum to function). I hate to be so negative toward GOG these days but this company has lost so much of my respect over the past ~2 years and it sucks, because I used to really love CD Projekt and GOG.
Just finished Deliver Us the Moon... this game is something else. Definitely buy it when you can. It's such a journey that I'm still getting chills from as these credits roll. Hopefully, I'll be able to get Deliver Us Mars once I've played Starfield enough... maybe, by then, the KeokeN will bring it here so that I can own the sequel as well.
