It's a crime this game is not on GoG, don't understand the reason since it's DRM free and it's in other places.
A really good old game that inspired the birth of many others, like Rimworld or even Minecraft I think. I've been a supporter for years, donating when the game was only free, I keep donating but I also bought the new version with improved UI and would love to have it in GoG also.
You can spent hundreds of hours and never get bored, you even start to see it's magic, how it really seems like the dwarves have personalities and intent that justifies their decisions....it's quite the feat. It still needs some improvements and content is lacking in some deeper aspects, like law or crime investigation, but you will surely can count on the devs to keep at it for another 20 years of improvements.
This was one of the grandfathers of a genre, and a revitalization to several others. It's by and large a game not about management, minuta, nor perfection, but about the stories that people share of it. Say you're settling in, and some beast comes by; success or failure, you'll have something to tell everyone else! A fine game, where even the legends it speaks within itself are volumes!
Of all the stories I've heard that happens in Dwarf Fortress, the way it was developed and who developed it, and the way is looked like a F8cked up spreedsheet you could get away with with a computer illiterate of a boss in the workplace. It seemed like the type of game that should be on GoG, given how old the game looks and fits the part of an daimond among gems for what it is. I would purchase this game in a heartbeat if it was GoG the second it was released the glorious platform that preserve such games like this.
Dwarf Fortress was created by two devs who really care about games, and about the gaming community. They've put a ton of love into this game, and both they and the people at Kitfox deserve a ton of love and success. It's a great game made by great people, and should be on every platform possible.
Sim Theme ParkLike the previous title, Theme Park World tasks players with managing a series of amusement parks. To do this, the player must choose how to spend their available funds, finding a way to expand the number and scope of their parks while remaining profitable. Income from the park can be used to purchase new rides or attractions, hire staff to maintain the park, and other similar functions. Various elements can be controlled by the player, such as the name of the park, the price of admission, the layout of the roller-coaster tracks, and the quality of food in the park restaurants. An ant-like announcer by the name of Buzzy, voiced by Terry McGovern in the American-tailored Sim Theme Park and Lewis MacLeod in UK release Theme Park World, helps the player with advice during gameplay.Business
MechWarrior 2: 31st Century CombatYou are the genetically engineered Clan Mechwarrior. The Clans are invading the Inner Sphere. Join either the Wolf Clan or the Jade Falcon Clan as they pursue their own agenda against the Inner Sphere and other Clans. Take your advanced Omnimechs into battle against all comers. Win high warrior ratings (by using less mechs or smaller mechs than needed, completing secondary objectives, etc.) and you'll get chance at a promotion trial where you face superior odds in an arena. If you win, you advance in rank. If you are very successfully, you can make it all the way up to Khan, leader of the Clan!
Mechwarrior II was developed in-house by Activision as the successor to their original Mechwarrior. While this time there are no dynamic campaign and mercenary actions, the Clan culture is integrated into the two campaigns. Different clans have different mechs and different rules, even different weapons. You can customize your mechs in order to use less than the "par" force in order to get a higher rating. The full 3D environment wasn't pretty as this was before the 3D accelerators made their debut, but it's still better than anything that came before. Let addition of NetMech allowed users to fight each other online. When 3D cards came along, special versions were created to take advantage of 3D texturing. While not QUITE as replayable as Mechwarrior, it's nonetheless a classic.

Lost OdysseyLost Odyssey is set in a world in which a "Magic-Industrial Revolution" is taking place. While magic energy existed in all living creatures beforehand, it suddenly became far more powerful thirty years before the beginning of the game. Because of this, it has affected society greatly, with devices called "Magic Engines" harnessing this power for lighting, automobiles, communication, and robots, among other uses. While previously only a select few could wield magic, many magicians gained the ability. However, such progress has also caused two nations to develop new and more powerful weapons of mass destruction. The kingdom of Gohtza and the Republic of Uhra (which recently converted from a monarchy). Uhra is building Grand Staff, a gigantic magic engine, while the heavily industrialized Gohtza actively pursues magic research of their own. A third nation, the Free Ocean State of Numara, remains isolated and neutral, though it is falling into disarray due to a general attempting to stage a coup d'etat. Zoo Tycoon: Complete CollectionAn insidiously addictive simulation game, Zoo Tycoon allows players to create their own zoo, but not just any zoo. It's completely free-form: Start with fences for your exhibits, then pick animals and give them toys, foliage, and anything else you want. For your customers, you can lay down paths to lead them around, then add food stands, amusement rides, even maps and trash cans. Not sure what you need?
