While Phantasy Reverie remake does a good job of repurposing Klonoa Wii into something more akin to the PS1 original, it has still lost some of its magic (in my opinion). The remake is a great 2.5D platformer. But the original version is truly special. Namco showcase their mastery in FMV cutscenes that still look good today and show the world of Phantomile off in ways that just aren't the same in other versions. Sprites, while dated on modern screens, still convey emotion. The gameplay feels tighter. The menus and credits are all on-theme with the game. Music, as always with Namco, is amazing. It's a whole experience and it deserves to be easily accessible in its original form.

Klonoa is one of the most unique jump'n runs I have ever played. The very special art style and the absolutely fantastic soundtrack create an atmosphere that covers the whole spectrum from joy to melancholy in an unprecedented way. The different levels and landscapes are pretty and the mixture of 2D and 3D gameplay is a lot of fun. Especially the ability to throw enemies into any three-dimensional direction extends the player's attention beyond reachable platforms, always trying to spot hidden items or switches that can be activated by throwing opponents at them. Compelling and creative boss fights are just the cherry on top of this underrated PlayStation masterpiece, which has to be preserved for future generations.

This game was a unique and moving platformer. A lot of heartwarming and thought-provoking moments throughout the adventure. Its a playthrough I have not forgotten, even 10-15 years later. It deserves the chance to be preserved and remembered in its original format. The FMV work is something that the Wii version and the remake has struggled to replicate. I hope this game does have a chance to continue and stick around.
While Phantasy Reverie Series is an option to play Door to Phantomile, it loses some of the magic the original PS1 version has. The FMVs feel surreal and dreamlike, something the in-engine cutscenes in Wiimake and Phantasy Reverie Series fail to replicate, especially the final cutscene which hits much harder in the PS1 version. The PS1 version still feels tight and refined to play, and deserves to be preserved.

Twelve Tales: Conker 64
Twelve Tales: Conker 64Twelve Tales: Conker 64 (known in the PAL regions as Twelve Tales Conker) is a cancelled video game that was going to be released for the Nintendo 64. First announced as Conker's Quest at E3 1997, the game would have followed the all ages environment of Conker's Pocket Tales, a handheld title released during its prolonged development cycle. Before the game could be finished, Rare had already made similar games that had already achieved general acclaim, most notably Banjo-Kazooie and Diddy Kong Racing. The developers began to receive criticism for creating another innocent platformer starring cute and friendly animals. In 1999, Rareware revealed that they were going to entirely redesign the game to appeal to an older audience. While it was first believed to be an April Fool's joke, the game went unreleased and replaced with Conker's Bad Fur Day in 2001.

Secret Agent Clank
Secret Agent ClankSecret Agent Clank is a platform video game developed by High Impact Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2008 and later for the PlayStation 2. The game is a spin-off from the popular Ratchet & Clank series and features Clank as the main character in a secret agent role. In the game, Clank dons his "Secret Agent Clank" persona, which was previously seen in brief TV show segments within the main series. The story revolves around Clank working to clear Ratchet's name after Ratchet is framed for a crime he did not commit. The gameplay diverges from the traditional Ratchet & Clank format, focusing more on stealth and gadget-based play, though it retains the series' trademark humour and style.
