Story:Become immersed in the fantastic world of Aris is a world populated by Orcs, Elves, Dwarfs and Humans. Complete more than 30 challenging quests to find the three parts of the Hand of God amulet and save Aris from impending doom. But beware of the more than 30 types of monsters and big bosses that are awaiting you as you fight your way through huge randomly-generated dungeons and detailed, individually designed landscapes. But your hero will not be all alone. He will be accompanied by Luna, a light elf is serving as companion, campaign guide and mouse cursor at the same time. With Legend: Hand of God, the German team Master Creating has created an epic Action RPG that raises the bar for the genre, thanks to the involvement of well known industry veterans such as Paul Campion and Andreas Adamek. Explore a gigantic, continuous world where you can seamlessly journey from the highest mountain to the deepest dungeon without a single loading screen. Cinematic combat system with combat in movie choreography quality, but still as easy to control as in standard Action RPGs. Dynamic environment system, e.g. fog, rain, snowstorms. Character creation that allows appearance and abilities shifting, the latter by combining 2 out of 5 available skill trees. Strong storyline that will grab and hold you all the way till the end. A light elf that serves as companion, mouse cursor, light source and campaign guide at the same time.Show more

ARPG by the same people that have made Restricted Area. The setting is standard fantasy this time though and it is quite generic. However in a number of areas like loot, music, atmosphere, visuals and character system, it is solid and worth a try. The story is more on the weak side and at least the german voice acting is often not great. One interesting feature is that the mouse cursor is actually a light elf that occasionally comments on the player's actions and interjects in dialogue. She also serves as a light source in dark environments.

I love this game. Mainly because of the dark atmosphere, the really good dubbing (especially the German dubbing) and the unique controls. The mouse cursor is not just a cursor, as in Diablo, for example, but the hero's constant companion. The lore has also been expanded with a browser game, a novel and an audio book.
I have never played it. I watched it being played on YouTube and it reminded me of Titan Quest (one of my favorites). Looks like a solid ARPG with a large world to explore. I would definitely buy if available on GOG. GOG is the place to buy hidden gems.

I got to know and love Legend from my Windows 7 days. The main character with his character development, the sympathetic little fairy - and the world in which Legend is set captivated me for a very long time. I didn't find the story overwhelming, but it was well told. The battles against various monsters were always great fun. I found both the quests and the travel mechanism very successful. I think it would be a great pity if this gem of role-playing games could not be preserved here for eternity.

OMG! I love this game so much! Three of my favorite games of all time were released in 2009 - Divinity II: Ego Draconis, Risen, and of course Legend: Hand of God. I had been playing Divinity II: Ego Draconis and Risen since 2009 and I'm always looking for similar RPGs. A number of years ago while trying to search for similar titles, I happened across a thread where a few people mentioned Legend: Hand of God. I immediately purchased a copy and I was not disappointed. It's a fantastic game and more people deserve to know the awesomeness of Legend: Hand of God. If you're a fan of RPGs, I definitely recommend trying it out. I'm hoping one day Divinity II: Ego Draconis, Risen, and Legend: Hand of God will get a remake/remaster. (Also patiently waiting for Divinity III) (NOTE/FYI: For some reason the North American version did not include an inner sleeve cover for the case, only an outer slip cover. So if you purchase a physical NA version, new or used, it is not going to have the inner sleeve cover only the outer slip cover. I have no idea if this was a production issue or purposefully intended to be released this way.)

Drakengard
DrakengardDrakengard follows the story of a kingdomless prince named Caim who fights for the Union against the Empire. Under the Union's protection are the Hierarchs and the Goddess, currently Caim's sister Furiae, who is a human manifestation of one of the four seals that protect the world from being broken. As the game begins, Cain is fatally wounded in a battle with the Empire. Encountering a captured Red Dragon who is also near death, Caim makes a fateful choice. In exchange for both their lives, the Red Dragon and Caim will enter a pact. This pact will forever chain their lives to one another and link their souls, at the cost of something irreplaceable. Recharged with the fires of a Dragon, Caim's vengeance burns over the enemy... The player controls Caim on his quest. The game is separated into three distinct modes: Aerial combat, Ground combat and Event Combat. In Aerial Combat, Caim rides dragonback against a variety of airborne foes breathing fireballs (strong single shots and weaker multiple lock-on shots). The Dragon is agile and is able to evade incoming threats, turning around completely in a moment. In Ground combat, the game is shown in 3rd person though usually large, open areas. Controlling Caim, his primary ability is the use of a variety of weapons found on the battlefield. These are leveled up through continued usage, and specifically through the killing of individual enemies. Though magic (determined by weapon choice), timed attacks and evasion, Caim breaks through enemy armies. Characters recruited as allies by Caim can also be summoned during battles, steadily losing health until control is returned to Caim. In ground combat, Caim may also call forth his Dragon to ride and strafe enemies from the air. The Dragon's movements are generally the same as in aerial combat but more limited and less agile. Event combat is similar to Ground combat, but shown isometrically, restricted to a single weapon and without the aid of a dragon. It is used mainly to tell story sequences. Levels that have been visited before might become "Expedition Missions" which are optional and contain new objectives, enemies and weapons. Additionally, any level previously played in the storyline may be revisited at any time. Depending on Caim's choices (and prerequisites for those choices), there are five different endings to Drakengard.

Drakengard 3
Drakengard 3Drakengard 3 transports players to a medieval world where six goddess-like sisters known as "Intoners" have brought peace to the earth with their power to manipulate magic through song. Harmony is disrupted, however, when the eldest sister, Zero, attempts to murder her younger sisters with the help of her dragon companion, Mikhail. As the story progresses, players find themselves in a battle to unravel the mystery of Zero and learn her true intentions. A prequel to the original Drakengard, Drakengard 3 features the series’ signature brand of action, pitting players against hordes of fiends and foes in remorseless hack-and-slash ground combat, and then sending them soaring for pitched aerial battles on the back of the dragon Mikhail.

Lost Odyssey
Lost OdysseyLost Odyssey is set in a world in which a "Magic-Industrial Revolution" is taking place. While magic energy existed in all living creatures beforehand, it suddenly became far more powerful thirty years before the beginning of the game. Because of this, it has affected society greatly, with devices called "Magic Engines" harnessing this power for lighting, automobiles, communication, and robots, among other uses. While previously only a select few could wield magic, many magicians gained the ability. However, such progress has also caused two nations to develop new and more powerful weapons of mass destruction. The kingdom of Gohtza and the Republic of Uhra (which recently converted from a monarchy). Uhra is building Grand Staff, a gigantic magic engine, while the heavily industrialized Gohtza actively pursues magic research of their own. A third nation, the Free Ocean State of Numara, remains isolated and neutral, though it is falling into disarray due to a general attempting to stage a coup d'etat. Uhra, at war with Khent, a nation of beastmen, sends its forces to the Highlands of Wohl for a decisive battle at the start of the game.
