Noooooo. I want to vote for this, but why textures? Why not use the texture pack from the matrix mystique version? Or just smear random crap over the polygons? If you’re going to release MW2, the best version is the OG dos version
This needs to be remastered as the original titanium trilogy was a buggy mess. I remember the water level where the doors would not open making the mission unwinnable or mercs drop ship in the clan mission would not spawn making you lose instantly.
It shouldnt be that hard to get the license now as Microsoft now owns Activision.
I remember playing this game with friends, swapping back and forth between playing missions, and then tinkering with the mech loadouts to try to get through the tough ones. The graphics might be a bit dated, but the way the mechs felt to move- heavy and unwieldy- was really evocative. Lots of fun!
This was one of the first games I remember playing on a near daily basis as a kid on MS-DOS. It was truly revolutionary for the time when 3D graphics were still relatively new, not to mention it felt mandatory to play on a joystick. I still listen to the OST to the this day. It's practically impossible to run on today's systems, so this getting a release with all the needed support and fixes would be a dream come true, and an instant day one purchase.
Along with Command and Conquer, the Mechwarrior 2 series filled many hours of fun at LAN parties, and remain my favorite of the series for the incredible music, compelling strategic game play, and the fact that, with these games running on home computers, you no longer needed to go to a fancy arcade and pay an exorbitant amount for 15 minutes in a simulation pod any more!
Mercs and GBL both gave so many good memories, different frustrating missions, down to the broken RNG that let that one Flashman that would automatically headshot you if you didn't snipe him down from max range with a PPC. Running circles around friends in Atlases while using a Jumpjet heavy Hellbringer was sheer joy.
A GoG collection would really need to combine the best of every world- I had the ATI Rage2 editions and Titanium editions and I seem to remember the Titanium Trilogy cut down on the original audio and introduced some bugs.
It would also need to add modding in custom mech parts, because we all know we're never getting the Unseen back. :(

Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Archon II: AdeptArchon 2 or also Adept is the successor of the successful Electronic Arts classic Archon. As already seen in Archon, an apocalyptic fight takes place in a fantasy surrounding, now not between "light" and "dark" but between "order" and "chaos".
It all happens in a game area which is divided into 4 elemental layers. In the center is the earth layer, it is surrounded by the water layer and this is surrounded by the air layer. The outer layer is made of fire.
Opposite to its forerunner the players start in Adept only with one magician ("Adept") per layer. All the other creatures have to be conjured in the course of the game. Evocations and other spells cost energy, which is renewed by occupying energy points on the game area with your own creatures. The more points you occupy, the more energy you get.
Every side possesses 4 own elemental beings, which have a special force when they are on their corresponding layer. Moreover 4 different demons can be conjured from both sides, which can fight independently from the chosen element. Many of these creatures can use a shooting attack, but they have also lots of special attacks.
When two figures meet on a field, here also the screen is zoomed and a fight for life and death starts. The winner claims the hard-fought field.
Dependent on the layer you are fighting on, the battlefield has different obstacles such as slowing-down lakes, shoot destracting swirls, flame walls or simply walls ready. The only exception are the two void fields, here no terrain is usedAction Fantasy
