Everyone pooh-poohs FMV games with elaborate copy protection, but this one is really fun. Solving Holmes' cases with the aid of Watson, the Irregulars, and other professionals. The copy protection was a dozen or so very thin sheets of paper with different news articles on them so it felt like accessing Holmes' legendary index.
I haven't played these games in years. I managed to track them down on Desura several years ago, and got them right before Desura shut down. I have the disk versions of these games ion a box somewhere, but no longer have a drive that can access them even were I to dig them out.
Scarface: The World Is YoursThe game begins in the film's final scene, with Tony Montana's (Andre Sogliuzzo) mansion being raided by Alejandro Sosa's assassins. But this is the point of divergence from the film. Instead of being killed by the Skull, Tony manages to sense him and shoots him down. He fights through his mansion, with many deaths on both sides. In the ensuing chaos, Tony sneaks to the front of the mansion, barely alive, and manages to escape in his car. Sosa is then informed that Tony's mansion has been seized and his massive drug empire has been reduced to nothing. Nightmare CreaturesThe story behind Nightmare Creatures draws upon gothic horror elements of the 19th century.
