I find it simply tragic that this game hasn't made it to GOG yet, it took all the great gameplay of the first game, made several QoL upgrades and added new races from the old table-top game (Starfleet Battles, for those not aware that SFC was a spiritual adaptation of that TT battle sim), which introduced complex new strategical challenges. As I recall, although I never completed the story, it had a more fully realized story mode that could be played from the perspective different factions. I still have my game disc in usable state, but I lack the technical expertise to setup the emulation for it to function properly if I were to install the game. My love for this game over the first does come with a slight bias, because one of my favorite races to play on TT was ISC, the proverbial "Villain / Antagonist" for the story. Hehe, writing this actually makes me want to dig into the back of my closet to find my rules and game gear for SFB so I can introduce my grandkids to the game. I used to play 1v1 with my kids to kill time while we supervised the laundry at our apartment complex, then sit and watch TNG together before they went to bed.

I spent many hours as all factions mostly the Federation and Klingons, I loved the lore and the era of star trek that this is set in with a beautiful story and the ability to shape the star trek universe in a way never before seen. I fought the ISC in the largest battle I had ever played at the time and was mesmerised by the effect and how was blown by how I felt like a real captain. This is a MUST Star Trek game!!!!
The extra two factions and improved damage textures are what make this game stand out from its predecessor. I would love to try to beat this game again. Some missions in the Starfleet Command series are extremely difficult, but it was a game I dumped so many hours into.

This is the one of the games i most regret missing out on. I bought the original SFC and then the 3rd one but I should have bought this one too. If the QOL improvements are what they say then I want it. I will give GOG the money. Bring it back!

The Starfleet Command series deserves to be in a playable state on modern hardware. Fantastic titles with stories and gameplay you won't find anywhere else. All we're missing is SC 2 and Orion Pirates.

I loved all the creative new factions and ships in this game, which I played over and over. Personally my favorite of all the Starfleet Command games as the one that felt the deepest and the most interested in expanding the universe, not just playing in it. Might be one of the best Star Trek games of all time!
i miss the isc plasmatic pulsar device. please bring back this game. i loved the challenge of earning medals and getting promoted in the game. romulans were awesome too especially the kondor.

My uncle gave me the disk for this and orion pirates. I remember playing it obsessively, I wasn't very good but it was engrossing to fly missions for the different factions and customize your fleet and getting new ships. It just felt right

This is the best space combat sim I have ever played. As a fan of the Starfleet Battles Tabletop game, which this is an adaptation of to computere, the combat system makes facing, movement speed, weapon arcs, energy levels, all important to claiming victory. Nothing else has ever come close. I also loved the skrimish mode, which made the game eternally playable, until it would no longer run on windows. Please bring it back.

L.A. Noire
L.A. NoireL.A. Noire is a neo-noir detective action-adventure video game developed by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games. It was initially released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms on 17 May 2011; a Microsoft Windows port was later released on 8 November 2011. L.A. Noire is set in Los Angeles in 1947 and challenges the player, controlling a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer, to solve a range of cases across five divisions. Players must investigate crime scenes for clues, follow up leads, and interrogate suspects, and the player's success at these activities will impact how much of each case's story is revealed. The game draws heavily from both the plot and aesthetic elements of film noir—stylistic films made popular in the 1940s and 1950s that share similar visual styles and themes, including crime and moral ambiguity—along with drawing inspiration from real-life crimes for its in-game cases, based upon what was reported by the Los Angeles media in 1947. The game uses a distinctive colour palette, but in homage to film noir it includes the option to play the game in black and white. Various plot elements reference the major themes of detective and mobster stories such as The Naked City, Chinatown, The Untouchables, The Black Dahlia, and L.A. Confidential.

Ascendancy
AscendancyAscendancy is similar to, but nevertheless very different from, Master of Orion. You play one of many races, each with a special ability and special character traits, who set off to explore space, erect colonies (which can each have individual purposes, depending on their raw materials) and engage in battles when you clash with others who have the same goals. Weapons on the ships use power, which has to be supplied somehow. This game introduces many original concepts, such as the Research Tree - a special scientific display in which discoveries are depicted as icons connected by lines to the "parent" technological breakthroughs and "child" ones, similar to the technology advances in Civilization, but presented in a much more visual way.

Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection
Zoo Tycoon: Complete CollectionAn insidiously addictive simulation game, Zoo Tycoon allows players to create their own zoo, but not just any zoo. It's completely free-form: Start with fences for your exhibits, then pick animals and give them toys, foliage, and anything else you want. For your customers, you can lay down paths to lead them around, then add food stands, amusement rides, even maps and trash cans. Not sure what you need? The zoo advisors will tell you how to make the animals happy, and the customers themselves will tell you what they're looking for, be it snacks, more animals, or anything else. There's also a vast amount of background information on each critter--its diet, its habitat, etc.--which can be useful when you're adding a macrauchenia or a Loch Ness Monster. In all, you can choose over 100 animals, plus countless habitat and park embellishments.
