Huge fan of Paul Verhoeven's 1997 movie! Been playing this bad boy back when. The feeling of being assaulted by hundreds, if not thousands, of Warrior Bugs rivals the intense action of the movie. Also, the lighting and level art greatly enhances the movie-like atmosphere. Since it’s been over two decades, I’m curious to find out how the developers handled the franchise, particularly its satirical nature. Don’t you wanna know more? Still own the german Collector’s Edition, but I’ve been trying to get it to run on different operating systems (Win7, Win10, and now Win11) without success. Please consider remastering the game!

I still replay this game every now and then. I think it's impressive even today with the enemy count. I really hope GOG can bring it back. I imagine the clips from the movie are a nightmare to license.

This is actually an Excellent but forgotten FPS with hundreds of bugs on screen. Your rifles mostly carry hundreds of rounds just like the movie. Still one of the best Starship troopers game ever made. Love this game! Story is actually really good as well.

This game was always out of my reach as a kid, Starship Troopers movie is one of my favorite movies of all time so I nearly killed my PC trying to get this game running on my PC 3 years ago, it would be a dream come true to have this work on my current PC so I can finally live my dreams of slaying bugs in a single player capacity, if this becomes a reality we truly are living in the good timeline and I'll pay anything for this game

I met this game thanks to a gameplay on youtube, around 2008-2009, being my first contact with something related to Starship Troopers. To this day I usually replay it from time to time despite certain flaws it has. Although I have to admit that this game feels better than Extermination itself, great hordes of bugs, scenes that remind a lot to the first movie, it is a good fps that although, it could not compete with titles of that time, it is one that is worth playing and more if you love this franchise. Soundtrack that respects the first movie, gigantic scenarios, simple but good story for the type of game it is. I'm doing my part! Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition Bundle
Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition BundleGrand Theft Auto V takes place five years after Grand Theft Auto IV and is now set in Los Santos. It centers around three protagonists: Michael, Trevor, and Franklin. New to the series is that the player can switch between the three characters on the fly. They each have different missions, lives, and personalities. They also often come together, especially for heists, a complex type of mission where a large operation needs to be planned and executed by determining a strategy and hiring additional henchmen. As with previous games in the series, the gameplay involves gunfights and takes place in a sprawling, open-world city where players get around by acquiring transport (cars, boats, helicopters, etc) through less than legal means. Players can roam the game world, complete story missions, and partake in various illegal activities, including shooting civilians, robbing people, destruction of cars, and the titular act of car theft. These lead to a wanted rating of up to five stars, sending in a police force in pursuit. Continuing to resist the police will also increase it. The wanted status is lost by getting out of sight or by spraying the car.

Outcast
OutcastOutcast is a 3D third-person (with an optional first-person view) action game with adventure elements. In search of five sacred relics, the protagonist travels through the five continents of Adelpha (plus one tutorial island). Each land has its own landscape (mountains, lakes, forests), populated areas, as well as dozens of minor problems - small quests that the hero is required to solve. Most Talans populating the world can be conversed with about a variety of topics. A large portion of the game consists of finding key characters and performing quests for them; some of these are optional, though most must be completed in an adventure-like linear fashion in order to advance the plot. Cutter is free to travel between the continents using special portals. Apart from exploration and completing quests, Cutter will also fight many guards and creatures. At his disposal are six futuristic weapons (railgun and others); ammunition for those guns is scattered around and can also be produced by mixing items. Aiming help is provided in the form of laser sights. Sneaking up to the enemy and punching him out silently is also possible. Gadgets such as a holo-decoy can be used to help Cutter gain the upper hand in combat. The player character can also jump, climb, swim, dive, crawl, and ride a local animal known as Twon-Ha for faster travel.
