gorgus1: Any suggestions for an old adventure/interactive game?

- Not Point-And-Click
- 3rd Person View
- Puzzles (not necessarily)
King's Quest is pretty good. You can move your character with arrow keys, I believe, so no clicking needed. Well, maybe to access the menus, not sure.

tinyE: wish we had Heretic here, or is that pure FPS? Which one had the pole vault thing? Hexen?
Wasn't it Heretic 2? Heretic 1 and Hexen were first-person shooters, as I recall.

I stopped playing Heretic 2 at the first boss fight, which irritated me too much. i recall you were just locked into a small circular room with the boss, who was hovering in the air. I am unsure how you were supposed to even fight it, there was no room for you to hide or dodge his shots. Phuck that, I uninstalled the game.

I've been meaning to retry the game at some point, maybe I was just too young and impatient back then. Maybe you need to talk calmly to the boss, rub his neck or something. Young guns always try to solve everything with violence. If there is one thing I've learned over the years at work, you DON'T try to kill your boss.

Perhaps the Oddworld franchise fits your description, as well as the Max Payne franchise (except for Max Payne 3 since it's more recent, but it's a fun game too). There are also the old-school Tomb Raider games, which have tons of puzzles.
