Quite some time ago I corrected the German version of the great and nice looking indie game Candleman. The game has some amazing light effects and is really beautiful and fun to play. As a thank you the devs gifted me some GOG keys for the game which I always intended to give to the community - I just waited for the right opportunity.

A few days ago I finally I upgraded my CPU from i5-4440 to i7-4790K. This CPU is known to make some heat so I also had to buy a new CPU fan for it. So to celebrate the new heat in my PC I thought this might be a good opportunity to finally give away the above mentioned keys since the candle in Candleman also makes some heat.

All you need to do is to post some games from the GOG catalogue that need (or that you think would need) a quite powerful CPU to play it. I will close this giveaway on Friday (07/12/2019) and chose TWO winners randomly.

The keys will be send via chat to the winners so make sure to have your privacy settings set accordingly. If I should not be able to contact you via chat to send you the key another one (again randomly chosen) will get it.

Good luck! :)

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED.

Congrats on new CPU. What cooler did you get to go with it?
Thank you - I am very happy about it (it's actually the fastest one my mainboard is still able to support. After this I will have to change a lot. It's a BeQuiet Pure Rock and it helped with the temps a lot - also it is really quiet which is really important for me.

That's a really nice cooler. Since it is rated for 150 watts TDP, you should be fine even if you want to do a little overclocking on your new CPU (which is possible since you got an Intel "K" suffix processor). So, congrats on the new cooler as well!

Gratz to you with your new CPU.

I could not because then I would have to change my board as well which I did not want to do. I am well aware that AMDs are faster nowadays but then again, I don't need extremely fast - I only ned fast enough for 1080p/60fps. So far I managed to get those with nearly every game except for Mass Effect: Andromeda ... with the new CPU this is also running well :) Also, I am still running Win7 and dislike Win10 which would/will one day also be a problem whenever I would HAVE to use Win10 since afaik newer AMDs are not supported by Win7. A bit more speed with not too much investment and effort - that was all I was aiming for and I am pretty happy with what I got.

It all depends on what you can afford. want the new ryzen chips or a 2nd gen ryzen 7 chip need money though and i want to get Breath of the Wild first
I can't run Shadow of Mordor, so I'm probably the wrong person to ask (laptop doesn't have the graphics processing, desktop doesn't have the memory).

Thanks for the GA, and grats on the new rig! i'm going to say not in though - I'm holding out for Lanterngirl.
