Thanks Marko for the GA, I'm in.

The new X4: Foundations needs a top of the line CPU. The minimum requirements are Intel i5-4590 3.3GHz or AMD equivalent. That means your old i5-4440 couldn't even crack it even though it still passable for many games.
Very generous of you, I'm in.

Probably more of a GPU than a CPU killer, but Witcher 3 with hair effects turned on will bring my machine to a crawl.
I think we have the same CPU cooler, but mine sits on a Ryzen CPU.

As someone else already mentioned, Ashes of the Singularity apparently has very high CPU requirements. The RTS genre in general is quite demanding, at least for recent releases, due to all those AI calculations. And of course games with complex physics calculations, such as most modern action games. I think No Man's Sky needs a good CPU too, due to the complex world generation.

Not in for the giveaway, as I currently have enough games to play. But I might give Candleman a look some other time, as it looks quite interesting.

MarkoH01: ... I am well aware that AMDs are faster nowadays but then again, I don't need extremely fast - I only ned fast enough for 1080p/60fps. So far I managed to get those with nearly every game except for Mass Effect: Andromeda ... with the new CPU this is also running well :) Also, I am still running Win7 and dislike Win10 which would/will one day also be a problem whenever I would HAVE to use Win10 since afaik newer AMDs are not supported by Win7. A bit more speed with not too much investment and effort - that was all I was aiming for and I am pretty happy with what I got.
Ryzen works fine with Linux... Just saying. :D

I was in the same boat as you, regarding OS and hardware upgrades. Tried Windows 10, didn't like it, switched to Linux Mint and, after some initial difficulties, no longer have any interest in MS Windows whatsoever. Got all the important software I need, and even PC gaming on Linux works much better than I expected.

Just something to consider, if you need a new PC at some point, and don't want to use Windows 10.
Greeting for the new upgrade and thanks for the GA!
I'm in:

I think a quite CPU intensive game could be Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden
Not in, but thanks for the generous giveaway and congratulations on your new CPU! :)
Try out Star Ruler 2. Its an open source (yeah, you can download it for free - the only difference in between gog and self-compiled version is lack of music assets, iirc) 4x rts, where size of the universe is only limited to power of your machine. If you need a cpu's benchmark - this one should suit pretty well
Inner Chains will challenge every computer - because of bad optimization. Sometimes it runs smoothly, sometimes it turns into a slide-show and drives my (not super-powerful) CPU to 100%. But to be honest I don't know whether that would be better with a powerful CPU or whether the game is just broken.
Honestly? Kingdom Come Deliverance. Not that the optimization is great but wow it does not like my CPU. I'll need to try to play that again once I've upgraded mine.

Good luck with your playing of games!
Vampyr's recommended CPU specifies 6 cores, 12 threads - something that wasn't really mainstream until the 8th Generation Core line.

I'm in, thanks.

Oh does it? Maybe my GPU is compensating as my CPU only has 4 cores/8 threads.
I'm in. Thank your for the giveaway. Some games i can think of are:

Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Outlast II
The Witcher III and
X4: Foundations
To be honest, I wouldn't know what game to point out as very CPU-intensive; I'd say as well the more demanding is probably Kingdom Come, but when I bought my processor (5 years ago already!) I planned for the future. The i7-4770 never gave me any issue, and it still rocks. A purchase I definitely don't regret.

I would like to be in, Candleman looks great! Thank you for the chance!
Also, congrats for your work. Alas, with me understanding next to nothing about German, I won't be able to appreciate it! :P
And here I was thinking someone got their hands on a Ryzen 3900X.

Not in. +1
Not in, but +1 for the giveaway!

Candleman is really a great game and I had a lot of fun playing it.
