tfishell: we will do good by all of our GOG customers. Just bear with us
Color me curious. Does that mean they will give everyone who bought two or more of their Amiga titles here all their other shit for free? That is, once it all made its way into the GOG catalogue (which should be some time around X-mas 2016, I would assume...). Because frankly, that's the only "fair" solution I see here.

tfishell: (I don't think I posted this already here.)

Cinemaware responded and the response, on the surface, seems reasonable.

"That is a publisher-related deal on Steam - but it will be corrected and we will do good by all of our GOG customers. Just bear with us"

Atlantico: The anthology is not available on gog.com

I don't buy from Shit. I mean Shit. I mean Steam.

Atlantico: Yes, your reading comprehension.

I mentioned I'd buy King of Chicago. Not the anthology. So you go espousing that the anthology is the Amiga version. Which I don't care one bit about, because it's the anthology. On Steam. And I was referring explicitly to a single game.
Not the anthology.

So the anthology may or may not be based on some system or another, it's just not relevant.

Do you understand this? Do you understand that games on Steam are worthless to me? Do you understand that I'm not talking about the anthology?

WTF is your issue?
My reading comprehension is just fine.

And as I said before, I understand not buying from steam. I understand that the game is 'worthless' to you, what I do not understand if a game in on Steam it is 'quantity over quality', while if the same game is on gOg it is not. That is what I find a little bit strange.
Well I just decided to buy it on Steam and get everything. If I want, I should be able to use the Amiga disk images in the Amiga Forever emulator I purchased a few years ago.

I'm not spending $5.99 for any more Cinemaware games on GOG. I'm removing Rocket Ranger from my wishlist.

If I had known this was going to happen, I wouldn't even have purchased Defender of the Crown on GOG.

I guess I'll have to be more cautious in the future on GOG.

I'll never support Steam but having bought all the Cinemaware releases so far on GOG i do feel a bit cheated.I'll still support Cinemaware on GOG but it would be cool if something is done to balance things out a little.

Pray tell. You expect GOG to sell them at the rockbottom bundle prices or something?

Don't worry about him. he is one of those pro steam fans (and no amok you cant say your not) and can't (wont) see the negatives of such a bogus system.

I think the Anthology should be on GOG like Steam. Why should they sell @ $5.99 each when the bundle is $9.99 on Steam? Why should steam get the games for 20% of the price they're selling on GOG?

@ $5.99 a piece, that's almost $78 on GOG compared to $9.99 on Steam, and its even cheaper than $9.99 at the moment.
You have to admit, that's a pretty sweet deal.
high rated
Sigh... i hope not buying it on Steam right now won't bite me in the ass, there's at least 4 games in that set I'd love to have...
that said, I'd rather buy here than there, and the response from CW sounds hopeful, so I'll bite the bullet and wait ...
I must say that Steam is starting to beat gog for classic releases. I mean Cinemaware just came to gog with three games and baam steam releases cinemaware anthology collection with a fraction of games prices here.

Barry_Woodward: Putting aside the Steam anthology pricing that we're missing out on, if these titles were ready to go, why weren't they released here sooner? Was Cinemaware holding back releases or was it GOG dragging its feet for whatever reason?
You forget one thing - gog is a boutique which means you won't see all the Cinemaware games here in comparison to Steam which is sad.

Fixed "shortly" isn't a matter of hours, it seems. :-(

It really depends on the agreement between publisher and Steam.

Yeah but also what dev has in agreement with publisher. cinemaware admitted there was a cockup so either publisher didnt listen to devs or miscommunication
