I imagine Doom is too old to be sold in a bundle.

Why? Can't you buy the individual games here? And aren't there more recent Doom games with which to bundle the older ones?

Could be. But I'm both poor, and not really into FPS, so I'm in no rush to get the game, if ever. If I find it in a cheap bundle I may pick it up, but probably not otherwise.

Not being that into the genre is probably the best reason not to. I'm amazed at how much people are selling their copies of the original discs for on ebay.

It's why I never got it. But like I said, that doom mod that freekshow linked did look fun.

I'm surprised people sell any old games online. I assume everybody just -steals- pirates anything they want.
Official levels?

I know of whole CD's with extra levels... and custom levels and homebrew ones i downloaded on dial-up back in 97... :P

I don't like Brutal Doom, makes the game way too cinematic and modern, it even has Call of Duty-like aim-down-sights.
Yep this is in doom2 I think. I should get back to playing 1 and 2 because its better than most modern crap

Fairfox: fo' realz amazed? ebay sellers are such gougers; i curtsey, salute, nod, flail 'n' boogie at anyone 'n' everyone taht gets a solid iron-eatin' bargain thar.

i even paid jacked up price for specific lip gloss ffs
It depends a great deal on the specific title you're talking about. The Doom games were extremely popular when they were new and they were available for sale retail for a relatively long period of time. As a result, it surprises me a bit that they've been able to get the prices raised that much.

Contrast that with my copy of San Francisco Rush which was a bit less than the cheapest offerings of Doom.

Kind of makes me think I ought to look around and see if I can find my old Doom discs.
