It's actually been one of those days for a lot of threads today, plus impersonators, and massive necromancing of threads from 2015. So maybe the universe isn't always out to get you.
Every recent game that was developed by Bethesda has been an utter disappointment, I won't get my hopes up.

So far my greatest satisfaction was erasing the M'rrshan in Master of Orion with severe planetar bombing and polluting their atmosphere with neurotoxines. They must die. All of them.

No mercy, no remorse.#Q&_^Q&Q#LINK:38#Q&_^Q&Q#

Sorry, he's been drafted into the GOG For--er, Skyrim Civil War. Long live the Stormcloaks! Push back the Thalmor and their imperial pawns!

We are shown a sandy/grassy/mountainous region by the coast, and the body of water is to the east. The only place on the map I found that might fit that description is Morrowind, but I'm pretty confident ES 6 isn't taking place there.

The middle of Elsewyr. Remember, the borders actually change. Black marsh now reaches to Mournhold. Khajiits might have taken back Leyawiin.

There's no reason to believe that right would be east and left would be west.

That's a good point. Thanks for bringing it up.
Elder Scrolls VI: Avernum.

It'll be the first Elder Scrolls game set entirely underground.

GR00T: I do like the Elder Scrolls games, so will be looking forward to this one. Gotta admit though, that I'm more interested in Starfield.
I agree so much with this. I find Bethesda's fantasy themed sandbox intriguing. I'm even willing to accept that Fallout 4 is just a post-apocalyptic themed sandbox, and NOT a FALLOUT RPG. But a science fiction sandbox game, might just be the end of me. I might die in front of the screen playing it.

However, I'll never forgive them for Fallout 3.

Darvond: Elder Scrolls VI: Arx Fatalis.
There, fixed that for you.

What about X? It's lacking in TES style quests, but there's some stuff there. Also, there's Wing Commander: Privateer.

I know about both series, and while I'm sure they're great, I have no nostalgia for them. I also missed the hype around their release, which would have more easily got me into a genre I'm not all that comfortable with. I find it hard to start a new game, when I'm not all too familiar with it's genre, which is why I mostly stick with turn-based games.

EDIT: For example, personally, I have only ever played Monkey Island 3 and Project Journeyman, so I can't get into other adventure games. I used to watch my brother play them, but I just can't seem to muster the motivation to start another adventure game. I can't even play the prequels/sequels to these two games I played and enjoyed immensely.

I mentioned Starfield, because its a Bethesda game, and I expect it to follow their typical game design, which I find engaging. But don't reskin Oblivion with Fallout-ish textures and call it an RPG sequel. If only they were to have named it something else, like it was the case with Fallout Tactics, I might have enjoyed "Fallout 3" so much more.

Yeah space opera is my favorite genre, so the idea of a Bethesda style space opera game is super excited. Like Precursors but done at least decently, or Mass Effect with actual openness. I'm a little bummed out most people focus on the next standard fantasy sequel instead of Starfield.
