I like how the investigator roles' abilities aren't consistently described.


- Tracker Yog, what did you do last night?
- I followed Yog who visited Yog.

- Watcher Trent, what did you do last night?
- Absolutely nothing!! But in reality I watched Krypsyn who was visited by his prostate.

- Cop Bler, what did you do last night?
- I'll tell you what I didn't do! I didn't hear any voices cause I'm not insane!!

You are allowing Cult? Please, for all that is right and just, remove that choice from the list! If it is left in, and someone actually picks it, you will be a policy lynch Day 1 and a policy NK (if possible) Night 1 for the foreseeable future (I may or may not be serious about this threat). I really, really, really, really, detest cult...

In before Vitek picks cult leader... :P

And, no, this isn't some meta game I am playing where I truly want Cult Leader and I am trying to convince everyone not to pick it. I will not be picking it. When I say I hate cult, I mean it.

Here's my question, since it is a role: would a mafia cult leader recruit people to be cult members, but not mafia? How does that even work? :O

I'm considering the thought of person in place number one going "Woo! Cult leader for me!" and person in place 2 opening the game going "Well, I wanted cult leader, but I ended up vanilla. You guys know what to do."

Also, the town Godfather, town Ninja (no other powers), and town Cult Leader working together to recruit the mafia into being good little townies.

My pathetic memory......

I played this setup with 14-15 players about eight years ago.

The most popular role chosen (by five different players!) was some cult leader from the Stargate TV show.

Your number pick determines your position in the role choosing queue.

Perhaps "bid" is a poor word to use.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but I agree with Krypsyn - it seems game-breaking unless the whole game is crafted around it.

Say I'm town cult leader, and I recruit a mafioso. If they become town, they presumably know everyone else who's scum, right?


I'm also a bit confused on the flow of things. I submit two numbers, which determines my draw. I then submit a role bid. If my bid is already taken I'm vanilla? When in all this do I know my alignment?

There's also a chance that no one will bid on Cult Leader role and it won't be taken. And even if he is in a game, there is also only a certain percentage of his success in recruiting - he may recruit no one the whole game.
