Just because Jynx was based on Ganguro (Literally a different name for blackface) and a Yokai doesn't excuse it, nor does it excuse Zwart Piet, but at least Chuchiel was a genuine accident and they quickly corrected the error.

Jynx is a pokemon.....one whose original skin tone was similar to blackface before it got changed(at least in the US and some other countries) to avoid offending people with "certain sensibilities"(i.e. those you'd find a lot of on sites like twitter).....also Yokai are spirits/etc in asian folklore.

Well knowledge is a good thing usually....it's often better to be smart rather than dumb, and wise rather than unwise......say as unwise as the types who think/act like context doesn't/shouldn't matter, and that things as innocent as a black skinned dust bunny and a face mask in an episode of the golden girls(tv show) are worth getting bothered over.

Amanita said he's a dust ball because that's what "chuchel" means. :) The whole mess surrounding it is... a mess. Everyone sees racism, nazis, and whatever else where there isn't any. I just like continuity. If he had started as orange and then was changed to black, I'd say the change is just as stupid.

I don't care if the new updates make the game worse. It would be nice if the updates could be opt-in for end users, even better if we could pick which patch we wanted.

For me, the goal of this request is to give attention to devs who make the updates available to GoG in a timely manner, regardless of how long the GoG turnaround is. Hopefully, by extension, that would shame the devs that drop a GoG release, and then forget about it for months, before maybe dropping a few patches, and forgetting again forever.

Also, yes. Feature parity for sure too. Didn't think about it being distinct from update parity.
