MattE225: No more purchases from me until the PR guy is fired.
I don't see why some poor intern handling the Twitter account should be fired.
Im more annoyed at the fact that (to my knowledge) nobody took five minutes to ask RWS if they are indeed literal terrorists dog whistling for a 4 year old boogeyman before jumping the gun.

Hello God? are you there? please nuke Twitter altogether. Thanks.

udienowplz: "gamers are over" articles

morolf: I missed that...so they were actually arguing in favour of a gamer genocide?
I'm not sure that would be the precise thing, but its fair to draw that conclusion (I'm sure a lot of pro-GGers did, and honestly, understandably). I think they basically say that developers should stop marketing their games towards gamers (interestingly) because its problematic and just not worth it. Whereas instead you should strive for diversity and inclusion. Which is objectively not the worst idea, but its presented much too harshly to me and is not without its problems (ME: A). Thus ignited the culture wars.

Hahahahahahaha apparently GoG PR group is part of ResetEra,the most vile and biggoted forum on the net,the worst thing is that they pretend to some kind of saints :).

Here is a pic of some GoG pr guy talking about it.

Also read and archive fast guys, this thread will get nuked fast just like the last one. It is real shame that GoG mods are deleting threads because they feel offended,oh well those are the times we live in.

No um, as much as i hate that move from gog you're just having cognitive processing issues..

Anyone can make an account, and people in industry can get something like verified status easily.. it doesn't mean his part of resetera mod group.

Rather gog already started cleaning fact this topic isn't closed shows there's no intention.

So, is everyone having fun? Do you feel you're spending the evening well with all that great #Tweetgate #RealShit #LookMaNoBrains?

I spent the evening playing board games with friends. We played a new one (well, new for us) called Arcana. Really cool twist on the deckbuilding genre. Ok, it's a card game, not a board game, but whatever. And we kinda messed up the rules. Does it happen to you guys too, with new games? I honestly can't think of any of the dozens games we played that we would play entirely correctly on our first try :P

Anyway - Arcana. Fun game. Recommended. Oh, and Bunny Kingdom! That's a great one, made by the same guy who made Magic the Gathering. It's deck building too, but with a board. I know, I know. It's a game with bunnies. Some of the more hardcore edgelords here probably think it's childish and silly and all, but it's really a great game. Very simple mechanic that makes for deep, varied gameplay. One of my favourites.

So yeah... what were we talking about? Ah yes, outrage. Argle bargle rage! Bunnies!

I went out and hung out with friends for the best part of the day. I was surprised to see this was all still going when I got back.

...

For people who seem to not care about this, you sure have to have your posts in each one. Egos are funny like that, don't you think?
I'm sort of interested, to the point where I'm reading what others have to say about it. Its disappointing but eh, that's basically the climate these days.
In lighter news I'm actually going to a board game night this weekend!

I find the situation funny and wish to mock it.

Also, I hope you have fun!

>Shrug< I kinda care about the forum, though not nearly as much as I used to, not about this nonsense "scandal". And making a post or two making fun of this shit doesn't require much time, unlike all the ongoing arguments and epic rants.

Well, there is that, but there is also there were what, 16 of them? All posted in the same day? It wasn't so much a "gamer genocide" as basically the game-journo community telling the people in the hobby they write fot to collectively "eat shit." It showed the gamers exactly where they stand with them, and THAT was the gasoline poured on the bonfire

It's about GOG PR bowing down to a journalists Hit peace article and apologizing for doing nothing wrong. Also showing of there lack of knowledge on the subject of GamerGate, calling a hashtag movement for upholding ethics in gaming journalism abusive and hateful.

Basically they have bean lied about and forced to apologize and accept being guilty for doing nothing wrong. Which they did post haste. They could have just ignored it.
