Jordan Weisman had to buy back the license for his own IP for the Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter in 2012.

I thought the Shadowrun IP now belonged to Paradox Interactive (which notably release their games on gog), but the situation is more complicated. The franchise is scattered into a dozen different legal entities that are owned, shared, sold, lent, hired out. Weisman bought a timed license for video games, and of course that license didn't fall to Paradox when Paradox bought Harebrained. The timed license just expired.

To my knowledge, the license for Shadowrun video games is still owned by Microsoft, but honestly, who the fuck even knows any more.

I did vote for Graft on the wishlist, of course. But that list doesn't seem to be geared towards upcoming games, come to speak of it. But maybe I'll "share my memories" about Graft anyway. ;)

Creating an entirely new IP is always a gamble, because the public, in general, gives a rat's ass about new IPs. I'll take a few extra looks to make up for it, should Harebrained decide to release Graft here.

Vainamoinen: ...for some reason a day one release on gog doesn't seem to be planned ...
Yeah, I addressed that in my OP:

BreOl72: Unfortunately, a GOG release is apparently not planned.
And as long as that doesn't change, I couldn't care less for any release - German or not.
