hero's quest i sunday!

our hero levels up one last time [in climbing, no less. a stat that's bugged him since nearly the middle of the game] and then kicks butt and takes names in the brigand fortress.

once he's done dealing with that lot, he heads off to an old friend that keeps thinking of him as a frog and not a hero and deals with her, too.

and thus, our heroic journey is at an end, until hero's quest ii.

well. fortunately, it's our last trip there. all we do, really, is clean up - picking up cards and stars that we couldn't get to for whatever reason.

we start off our adventure in larry 3 this week and...wouldn't you know it? larry loses both his love and his job. so, it's essentially back to square one for him.

plants versus zombies finale, so...long episode, because i don't generally like cliffhangers.

we take on the last two regular levels with our marigold and our melon pault. the marigold level goes fine, but the melon pault level trips me up a little and i have to restart.

then, it's boss fighting time!

and that's /almost/ it for plants versus zombies. there will probably be one more video, i think - showing off the extra modes you can play and the like, but we'll soon be embarking on a new game.

you get tasked with taking a paladin deck up against kel'thuzzad. that wouldn't be so bad if the deck you were piloting wasn't so absurdly terrible. it takes me eight games to kill him, but eventually i manage. dear blizzard, this and the warrior challenge were the textbook definition of "this is unfun."

i clear out the shrine of babamut, netting me his double twin card, then i head on off to the hidden meadow [and hidden cave] to sort through those. finally, i also hunt and kill a choboko so that i can get it's meat cooked for the merchant. i'd forgotten about this, but he has nothing to sell. instead, he gives you a neat gift.

leisure suit larry pursues a lady named tawni. but she wants money from him. so larry does what he must. in the end, though, he gets his money back from her by pretending to sell sea shells on the sea shore ;)

plus: there's a comedy club you can go to with a guy named paul paul who does an entire comedy routine. i cut that out, because it was pretty long and added no real game play value. however, i've added it to the end of the larry 3 playlist, in case anyone's curious.
