I REALLY hate deceptive marketing where they have to invent new terms for something like a demo so it doesn't sound like a demo instead of calling it what it is.
Especially when they invent new meanings for existing words with established meanings.
If it's a demo, just call it a fracking demo. Don't try to invent some excuse why it's not REALLY a demo because you invented some minor technicality.
This rant applies for any use of using creative terms to deceive people into thinking it's not something that it is. Such as the way Marketing destroyed the meaning of the word "free" when talking about a product a few decades ago. Or what they did with "organic" until it got regulated, or "lite". I could go on with the rant.
How about how every game now has "RPG elements" so it is difficult to find RPGs since you can't just search for "RPG"?

Mate, there are demos and then there are demos, and I perfectly understand why they want to differentiate between them or they all get tarred with the same brush. It used to be, that a demo was some kind of limited example of a game ... time limited or you couldn't save or couldn't complete much.
Then we got demos, that were based on the game, but a separate portion that wasn't included in the game. Fair enough in my view to call that a Prologue or another chapter. or just have a different name, even if only partial.
What you should be complaining about, is if they abuse the Prologue or Chapter declaration, because it is really only your regular Demo.
If the content of the Prologue or Chapter, isn't in the base game, then fair enough to call it a Prologue or Chapter. And even if it is in the game, but is complete in itself, then calling it a demo is a bit misleading too, as it is really just a segment of the game, rather than just an example, which is what a demo truly is originally.

I get the impression it's just a comic. Promotional material for whatever main game its marketing. Not a demo though.

I'll include it into my list :) DELORES: A THIMBLEWEED PARK MINI-ADVENTURE and Our Life: Beginnings & Always
were similar cases. All 3 are substantially full games with proper ending paths and seemed to not be demos. I'm still a leary about Our Life: Beginnings & Always, given that there's also a substantial amount of content as paid DLCs, which makes the base game seem like a demo, but you can play the full game without paying for any of the DLCs with a proper ending.

I guess one could count this, but I'm actually livid about it when I found out:
If you redeemed the code WELCOMEGIFT on GOG, you would get 4 games AFAIK. The problem, and what grinds my gears, is that all of them are for freeware games you could've gotten manually instead, so anyone who already has them actually gets nothing out of it.
These games are:
Betrayer
Lure of the Temptress
Ultima™ Worlds of Adventure 2: Martian Dreams
Worlds of Ultima™ : The Savage Empire
Obviously this is intended for fresh meat, but as mentioned above, they are all accessible without. No added value. Nothing special. Plainly pointless. But here we are, now you know. I wouldn't even call it a giveaway.
