My picture was taken at a Renaissance Fair (Minnesota) as well. It always is very hard to get something decent since there are gazillions people all around.

Bump. I have been inactive lately, but I'm sure some of you have pictures to share. :)

Suuuuuuuuper late reply but the stock market is mostly dead for photographers as far as I've researched. A few years back it was a good option, but now there are so so many photos on stock archives and the prices have been dropping on what does sell so much that you'd get more if your printed off afew and sold them framed in local coffee shops and the like; and don't even think of approaching microstock.
Interestingly (and I can't find the link now) I recall reading that one of the big heads of the photo stock market predicts that its a market that will self destroy itself as the prices being paid for are not enough to support photographers working for stock. (there are one or two exceptions but as a general rule this is proving to be more and more true).

ps in that last one its head is less than 1mm in size - probably close to the thickness of the mm line on a ruler!

I did some researches myself and that's exactly what I thought.

That's funny that you are mentioning that because I'm currently working on it. I recently got some of my pictures matted and shrink wrapped that I'll use as samples, and I'm going to submit them to the local art gallery. I just filled out a Juried Sales Gallery Application (+ a $25 check, heh) and I'll take care of that next week.

Hopefully things will work out and I'll become rich in no time... I mean, I'll make my name known in the area I live in.

Yeah, I think she's gotten more used to it over time, but when she first had it on she pawed at it over and over to get it off her nose. It does work, but like most thing isn't made for a dog that has worked out how to use reverse gear ;)
Thankfully the backup collar (hidden in all her fur) saved us a long, long chase after her on this occasion.

sadly I'm not at home "home" so I'm not there enough to snap pics, plus I tend to kind of not take that many when I am home (always intend to but always forget to). Besides I can't really take the camera out on a walk with her if alone - I'd be over on my side if I paused to take a shot and a pheasant pops its head up within range of her ;)

Sometimes you get a bit of luck. This is either a Sharp Shinned Hawk or more likely a Cooper's Hawk that I just happened to come across on my way home this afternoon.

Oh yeah. Good catch. I like the light (I like how the light hits its chest).

I would personally remove the top branches (and the oblique one that is blurry) and keep the nice blue sky as a plain background. But it's just my taste.
