Great entry, zeogold as always. Some interesting stuff there. I didn't know about the GOG easter egg.
I need a break, I'm not creative enough... ;)

Zeo, how did you finish so quickly?
That lime cheese salad is why we can't have nice things.
Who the hell thought that was ever a good idea.
I can't think of any scenario where I make that shit and think to myself "Nice dude! Good Job!"

greeklover: LOL this has happened many times to me especially with long posts. So I started writing my analysis for Secret Hitler in my mobile's nitepad and then copy pasted to be sure I don't have to type all this sheet again
I would generally advise not writing out long posts in the forum interface.
I'll try to make it as Indonesia as possible

1. The Three Temples on a Straight Line
Three Budhist temples built in a 8-9th century in Central Java positioned on a straight line. How they measured it or for what purposes are sadly remained to speculation.

2. This is a quite popular pictures. But not many people know that this is an Indonesian tree frog photographed in Jember, East Java. For me it captures our instinct to survives.

3. This time, it was Google's car that misbehaving, caught in an accident with 2 public transportation cars and a truck.

4. Traditional Java Coffee.
My province of West Java was the main world coffee producer under the VOC. While disease, post World War negligence and major brands coffee almost destroyed it, the leftovers of small traditional factory still survives. Kopi Aroma is the most famous, but my favorite is the lesser known Javaco Coffee (sadly only in Indonesian).

5. My first encounter with haikus started with the late great Isao Takahata's My Neighbors the Yamadas, never made one though. Here's a stab at it.

The night feel so hot
Been a long time since it rained
Dry season has come

6. True Size Maps
The world maps on a flat paper is based on projections, so that some countries like Russia seems larger and other looks smaller. My country is of the latter. And lo and behold, it streches from Portugal to Iran (a World Cup nod).
Can't get the links working, just visit the website and enter any country that you wants.

7. Music of Ben Curtis
I read this articles, and discovered goodness. Still very sad that a musician that have no boundaries taken away at such a young age. This is a beautiful tribute from his former partner in music and life:
SVIIB - Open Your Eyes

8. If you're using Firefox, type about:mozilla

9. People that still uses Myspace and for comparison, from 2007.
And a late addition: Grantland is still archived. Such a shame that a website that I think was a great melting point of internet writing shut down cause Bill Simmons' ego.

10. Museum Virtual Tours always fascinates me. But the internet as always is a big junkyard http://www.theuselessweb.com

11. Basketball GM
Basically NBA version of basic text Football Manager. In its bare-bones only dummy player available, but custom mods can create league with real NBA name and stats

12. Well, 45 had fun with one:

16. Villa Isola
It's now a part of a University complex, where my Grandmother got her college degrees

17. Robot Unicorn Attack
I got it quite roundabout actually. Watching BBC documentary about 80's synth movement leading me to Erasure and its glorious song Always. As a side-note, the monster in the video clip based on a Balinese style depiction of evil, Rangda.

18. Indonesia as Dutch East Indies actually the first nation from Asia who played in the World Cup. Unceremoniously defeated 6-0 by the eventual runner-up Hungary, but actually it was not the representative of our whole footballing force at the time. The squad that played consist of only Dutch approved federation, while the other half who supports independence not getting a look. And legend says, they were better than those who goes to 1938 Italy edition.

20. Dadar Gulung (Rolled Sweet Pancake)
Just remember, coconut grates and palm sugar is a match made in heaven
http://tasty-indonesian-food.com/indonesian-food-recipes/dessert-and-sweet/dadar-gulung/

21. This secondhand twitter stories still made me smile. On a college class, an elderly professor giving a lecture while projecting a wikipedia page. When a donation plea appear, the Professor sighing loudly "But I just donated last week!"

22. Our Country's eternal presidential nominee, got his reproduction tools castrated by enemy when he leads a special forces in East Timor. Type that if you're using Pale Moon ;)
Almost done.
I've updated the OP with the current entries. :D Thanks very much to zeogold and zlaywal; I've currently just scanned your entries to confirm they meet the criteria - my intent is to give a full read to all entries at the end to put everyone on a reasonably even footing. InkPanther, I'm looking forward to yours being completed. :)

PoppyAppletree: To participate, you need to submit 23 items for 23 years of an Internet that's open to all:
avatar
drmike: Just curious. What event are you looking at to say the Internet was open to everyone?

23 years ago would put in 1995. I know I had a dial in PPP account around '91.
1995 was when commercial use restrictions were removed, which allowed for our new web-based economy and turned it into the internet we know today. But it's also the common year for "public Internet", so that too.

Well, I don't see your entry. Get to it!
1. An overhead view of a structure (manmade or natural) which provokes interest
This one is from the Newmarket Health Centre in Ontario, Canada. All the details are there.
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/02/13/25A23BE800000578-0-image-a-1_1423824002430.jpg

2. Animals behaving like humans (bonus points for non-domesticated/wild animals)
It's a bit different, but I thought the look on this dog's face is really almost human like
https://cmeimg-a.akamaihd.net/640/ppds/61b19b2a-fa86-47b3-ac04-c8b176caa81a.jpg
Alternatively, here is an elephant taking a selfie
https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/elephant-selfie-elphie-thailand/index.html

3. People caught misbehaving by Google Street View
Wonder if this could have been #2 too...
https://www.rover.com/blog/friendly-dog-follows-google-photographer-shows-every-street-view-shot/

4. Something cool from your hometown (if you have privacy concerns, you can lie)
The only gold medal for Ireland in the 2012 Olympics was won by Katie Taylor who's from the town where I live.

5. A haiku
I can never write
a haiku that is correct
because I always end up with too many syllables in the last line

6. Fun discoveries from map-based interactive software (e.g. Pokémon Go)
Oldie but goodie
https://www.flickr.com/photos/arjunprabhu/456632373

7. Great music you discovered online
A track from Die Hard 3.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8Rj7x4_zRo
As one of the comments says, best part 4:34

8. An Easter egg found on a website (if you submit an actual Easter egg it better be amazing)
If you go to Google maps and go to Loch Ness, the Street View guy changes into a green monster (see attachment).
Another one: go to this brewery's website and select "I'm under 21".
http://blackacrebrewing.com/home/

9. Digital relics of a time gone by
The million dollar webpage!
http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/
Created by a guy from England in 2005, who used it to pay his college tuition fees. It consisted of 1 million pixels (1000x1000) which were sold for a dollar each (though the smallest unit you could buy was a 10x10 block) and would link to your website. Purchasers included major companies like Yahoo and The Times, and although the author didn't accept porn, warez or any malware sites, a lot were also bought by online casinos, personal loans, dating sites and other get-rich-quick (the irony!) schemes. Note that as of today, many of the links are dead, but the author true to his word still has the website up.
For more interesting info about it, read the FAQ:

10. Novel uses of the Internet
GIMPS, the Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search
https://www.mersenne.org/
I've been looking for large primes for more than 12 years now

11. An awesome web game
There Is Only One Level
https://armorgames.com/play/4309/this-is-the-only-level
It's just "one" level but each time there is a slight variation. 30 in total.
Played and finished at work, back when I worked in a corporation (to all you newbies joining a corp: a place where no one can see your screen is the most import thing to look for if you can when you start). It's amazing.

12. Fun with Internet bots
Had this chat with cleverbot
http://www.cleverbot.com/conv/201806261722/MCA4IABY5V_Hey

13. A story about how the Internet has personally affected your life
DOSBox!!! I got to be able to replay all those old games, without having to keep my old PCs (though I still keep them; they're collecting dust in the attic).

14. An interesting font
Comic Sans. Especially useful for your Powerpoint slides.

15. Unexpected web privacy/security concerns
GOG's initial decision to enable Profiles on by default.

16. A beautiful building
Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright.

17. A glorious meme
Hitler and the Steam summer sale
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38JDm54AIAc
I love those Downfall parodies. Someone made one about GOG (introduction of regional pricing?) but I can't find it.

18. A historical tidbit
Huéscar, a province in Spain, was technically at war with Denmark for 172 years. The declaration of war, made during the Napoleonic wars, was forgotten about and a peace treaty was only signed in 1981. There are a couple of other similar incidents:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_extended_by_diplomatic_irregularity

19. Technology going so very wrong
BSODs in public places always make me smile.
https://www.geek.com/tech/this-must-be-the-biggest-windows-blue-screen-of-death-ever-seen-1667359/
The above is not mine, but I've seen one or two myself

20. A recipe
Something I posted on GOG before:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/share_your_favorites_receipes/post23

21. Old people trying to understand the Internet
Not exactly that, but...
Old Georgian woman cuts off internet access to whole of Armenia
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/apr/06/georgian-woman-cuts-web-access

22. Your favourite conspiracy theory
Flinstones take place in a post apocalyptic future.
https://www.toptenz.net/top-10-reasons-flintstones-set-distant-future.php

23. Something you contributed to the Internet
Besides my porn titles thread?
My esoteric challenges on GOG:
I,
II,
III
IV

My brainfuck GOG quine.

And for something useful: a patch to fix a music issue in GOG's Shadow Warrior: Twin Dragon.

I think I've finished.
Just in case: text links for some points go to a different place than image links. ;)
