As I promised now that I'm not battling with the forum software, I edited my post to include more info (which was originally there until I ruined myself twice with that stupid font thing) on 4 and 18, and added a Spotify link on 7.

Nice GA +1 for the cool idea.

This is a tulip farm.

2. Animals behaving like humans (bonus points for non-domesticated/wild animals)
A squirrel doing tiny laundry. I know it's staged but it's still adorable.

5. A haiku

I am so sorry.
Something struck me in the rear.
I just... wound up... here.

6. Fun discoveries from map-based interactive software (e.g. Pokémon Go)

7. Great music you discovered online
Songs sung in a different language can feel much more powerful because you have to focus on the notes instead of being distracted by the lyrics. I like the dissonance between the lyrics and music in this one.

8. An Easter egg found on a website (if you submit an actual Easter egg it better be amazing)
You can play atari breakout on google search. There is also PacMan on a different page.

9. Digital relics of a time gone by
Myspace, you never hear anyone mention it anymore unless they're talking about how Facebook started, sometimes not even then.

10. Novel uses of the Internet
Reddit Place where entire groups formed to create pictures one pixel at a time.

11. An awesome web game
I don't usually play web games but I poured I significant part of my middle school life into this game.
http://www.battleon.com/

12. Fun with Internet bots
MojiHunt
https://mojihunt.com/

13. A story about how the Internet has personally affected your life
I am a data hoarder. I am constantly collecting articles, books, and other media and organizing them into giant libraries. I have already filled up two external drives and am starting on number 3. Usually when I started hoarding things I look around and see the piles of junk before coming to my senses. But the drives take up so little space I just keep going.

14. An interesting font

18. A historical tidbit
Paul Revere is remembered in the history books for riding to warn the colonists that the British were coming. However there were a total of five riders. Israel Bissell traveled significantly further going 345 miles in about four days and six hours.

19. Technology going so very wrong
People pay to have their loved ones ashes tattooed into them, that sounds like something you would hear in an Orwellian novel to show how disturbing a cultures idea of affection is.

20. A recipe
My mom made this on occasion. She has a habit of fiddling with recipes so I can't guarantee that this is 100% what she served. But it was delicious.

23. Something you contributed to the Internet

Just a heads up that I'll be extending the deadline by a week to allow for more entries. :)

For various reasons I've ended up being busy for most of the latter period of the giveaway, so my apologies for that. I'm not going to extend this again, so the giveaway is now closed to new entries. I'll read through the entries that have been submitted and decide on a best entry, then randomly generate a winner for the $5.99 prize. Once I've done that, I'll announce the winners.
Apologies for the delay! I've now read through all the entries, and the $9.99 prize goes to ZFR. I had a lot of fun with the "one level" game. Honourable mention goes to zlaywal, who was my #2 choice.

Since there were only four finished entries in the end, I decided to give all the runners up a $5.99 prize. :) Thanks for all your entries, they were great to read through. I really enjoyed zlaywal's haiku, which was appropriately seasonal. I also loved InkPanther's LEGO models, I thought those were fantastic. Also, the dinosaur from zeogold's entry was awesome. :D

Get in touch via PM with your selections. :)

That's very generous of you, thank you. It was a really nice giveaway, I had fun putting my answers together and found cool things in all entries.

Congratulations, ZFR.
Thank you for your generosity and congratulations ZFR and other participants. Reading other entries was enjoyable, even from fellow Rush fans drmike (I have the dvd of that concert)

I'm really happy that you enjoy my haiku. For me the difficult thing in this was not finding the answers (some of mine was half baked admittedly), editing the urls was one gave me the headache.

Thanks, PoppyAppletree! Congrats to the other winners as well! Though it's a bit sad to see that if a giveaway requires a bit of effort there are so few entries. It was fun participating.

Glad you enjoyed the game. As I said, I was playing it at work couple of years ago. The penultimate stage was crazy if I remember correctly. I think there was a sequel but I never tried it.

For my prize, I'd like Papers Please if that's ok.
