slamdunk: I'm prepared to judge the game on its own merits and flaws, you know, once it's actually released. The Outer Worlds was a good recent lesson as to why you shouldn't listen to prerelease hype articles.

But a $90 dollar preorder? Jeez Louise, nothnx
Quoted for sensibility. Thank you. Wish more people had this view. Decide to buy the game (or not) when you have an informed opinion. Be rational.

BlueMooner: Is Wesp on the team? Has anyone notified him to see if he wants to do this for the next ten years in addition to VTMB1? Are we going to have to wait 15 years after the release of VTMB2 to get a playable game?

Lifthrasil: That would have been an awesome idea to get Wesp on board. But somehow I doubt that they did. Otherwise they would advertise it.
Maybe they could consider giving Wesp the source code (along with an NDA) so it'll be easier for him to fix the buggy mess all game releases are.
The issue I have with this is that alot can change in a year. We've all seen games get delayed or canceled in a year, just as we have seen games change dramatically from what they where to what they are in a year. I think GOG took a mistake allowing this so early, and the developers took a mistake pusing it too early.
While I am looking forward to this game (with as much cautious optimism as I can muster in these burned-out times), opening a pre-order an entire year before the release is just simply crazypants.

Lexor: How come does "soon" (to be released) equal over one year of waiting? :D
If this is going to Epic store first.... yes :P

Niggles: 84.99 AUD. Standard edition...Bit pricey for a digital copy...

Lesser: It always seems like Australia has continent-wise the hardest difficulty after Africa. Products seem to be very expensive, human life is somewhat limited to the coast and many animals are more dangerous than Diablo himself.
Thats the average price of a PC game at EBgames or JBHifi here -- higher profile ones are usually 90+ (standard editions!!)

You would also think there was a tangible bonus with a pre order like a decent discount or something....

slamdunk: I will reserve judgment for the final product, but the facts in front of me on the store page give a big "Outlook not so good." as the Magic 8-Ball is known to have said. a preorder pricing scheme like that doesn't stay like that for very long after release if the game ends up being a true flop. :/
The hype-train is leaving the station! All aboard the whoo whoo choo-choo!!!

DummZ: Let me rub my crystal ball here and see what it says.... yes... yes it's becoming clear....

It says, that 1 week before release, it will become an Epic Store exclusive.
Nah, the release date is next year. The Epic Store will need to be more frugal in their spending by then. Though until that time I have to wonder if Epic's poaching of the Metro game 2-3 weeks from release is going to influence when people preorder. Steam users who preordered Metro got to keep it, but anyone who planned to wait a little will now be waiting an entire year! With pressure like that, surely someone will be tempted to preorder future games right away knowing they could theoretically disappear from their store of choice at any given moment.

Yes but if games like Phoenix Point that was backed on the promise that a GOG and Steam version would be available at release was scrapped for a 1 year Epic Exclusive what's actually stopping them from doing the same with pre orders ? i would be really cautious with putting down my money. Everything about the videogame industry is uncertain right now.

Backing a crowdfunding isn't techncally the same as pre order on a digital store even if both put down money in advance but if they prevent backers from playing the game at the store of their choice then i would expect any possibility.

It says "soon", but release date is Q1 2020.
We are committed to making and keeping #bloodlines2 available across Steam, Paradox store, GOG and Epic and we will also be selling it on PS4 and Xbox One

Gonna wait for a while after its out, haven't even finished Bloodlines 1. I probably spoil myself once its out because I always do it.

So many amazing games coming to PC and gog seems to be doing very well as of late, nice.
I have high hopes, and high dreads. One thing I know for certain is that I'm never pre-ordering a game. It's like ordering a meal at a restaurant that hasn't even opened yet.
Definetly going to preorder , it's been so long when i played the first one =)
It's good news to have sequel to the one of most best rpg games!

Well GoG offers still until end of the Month regional pricing, first Bloodlines whas a huge succes and the hype train is real showing the most expensive version as top place of the Bestsellers so allowing it now whas a good move because now most of the people who would buy it on GoG are reached.
First because it is DRM free, second because you have clearance from the start it will be on GoG and third it is now still cheaper then anywhere else (except for US and Southeastasia where is no regional pricing).
In my opinion it would have been a mistake not to participate.
Noticed the game in best selling list. Clicked it. Saw the DLC plan, and thought "That looks like some pdx bullshit", and sure enough lol.
