Silverhawk170485: The gameplay seems to be like Lemmings.
Somewhat, yes. It looks like they forcibly jammed together Lemmings and Infectonator. The result looks... rather interesting, actually. I might pick this up after release if the reviews are good.
That Sin City-like color palette looks super lazy, imo. I don't think it fits that well with this kind of low pixel art. The gameplay looks very interesting, though. Let's wait and see...

I like the art style. Black'n white fits the zombie genre, with Night of the Living Dead and all. And the (colorized) bloody mouths helps making the zombies stand out. But is it really possible to care about zombies the same way that I cared about the lemmings? To me, really *wanting* to help those little critters was a huge part of the games appeal.

snowkatt: oh no not more zuvembies
sometime they have good zombies games, but i pass on this one, i have some casual zombie game, with plants and even micheal jackson appeared in it, i really liked the game i have it on cd (drm free ofcourse)

I must admit the number of votes made me turn pale .... 3 votes....
slime rancher had at least 255 votes.
Seeing many more new games appearing i gave up hope for old classics (which i have but are steam with drm) to arrive in the near future.

Heh, cute.
Speaking of zombies ...

I can recommend the White Trash Zombie book series. Story: After having been found naked and unconscious by the side of the road, our heroine suddenly finds herself having a job(!) and a crawing for brains. The books have a lowbrow TV-Show style and lots of weird humor, and solid, engaging characters.

This Book is Full of Spiders is a sequel to the book John Dies at the End. It is a pretty fresh and body horror-ish twist on the zombie apocalypse.

Also, in my opinion Return of the Living Dead (1985) is the BEST zombie movie! (Also, I believe it's the one that introduced braineating.)

And of course, the original Night of the Living Dead is in the public domain.

Deadbuild is a tile-based survival tower defence zombie game. (Free)

tremere110: I don't think the zombies in this game want brains...
Lesbian zombies! ;)
I've seen a couple videos from it and it really interested me, unfortunately it is regionnally-priced... and the devs are french... thus I'm gonna skip buying this... bummer.

C'est déconner, les gars. :(
Goddamn GOG what are all these terrible games you're releasing all of a sudden

I actually think this one looks quite interesting and fun. Also, the pixel art seems to do it justice. We'll see what the final word is, when it's released :)

Game recommendations are THE reason I visit GOG.
I'm eyeing that 15% discount I got, and the date, and am wondering if the game will be released at least at long as the pre-order window (2-plus weeks) before a sale drops 20%+ off the price...

I plan to play this day of release, though, so it'll sting less than some other games I got on less-than-optimal sales.

What I do wonder about this game, though, is the "infestation" mechanic.

Zombies don't seem to make more Zombies in the trailer, so it seems it'll be a set amount you can infect per level?

Game recommendations are THE reason I visit GOG.
I have seen thousands of recommended games, movies, books, music, but the best part is every customer is unique in a way, which is a good thing, imagine all the people would want the same thing, it would become very dull .
Take steam as an example, they have > 12 K games, i browsed at least a thousand, and most of them are not my kind of games /movies they offer. every gamer is searching for some kind of game he or she likes which is also a good thing.

I am limited in buying games ((game)motionsickness/ photosensitivity) but i guess that if i wasnt limited by that i still wouldn't buy everything just because it has lots of reccomendations, when i read a review i always look for:
bugs/glitches, these prevent a gamer from having fun playing cause a game can be super but if it is plagued by bugs and crashes the fun starts to wear thin very fast.
The first thing i do is alway look why they gave bad reviews i search for bugs, crashes and more words like that using the search function, i dont care if lots of people say: its a bad game, its repetitive, it gets dull after 2 hours and more shitty remarks like that, most of the times i like more of the same and grinding in games.

Anyway, lately many games have been released here, at steam at gamersgate and even in retail stores (cd/dvd) which make me wonder why they released such 'bad' games ? tbh i always thought most votes on wishlists would count for something, but now i realise the fact :
" Would it possible these game can come to gog, gamersgate or steam ?"
is what seems to matter most instead of the gazillions of votes for a game.

Its obvious that extremely good games like red alert and more games ( usually owned by DRM hugger EA) arent likely to come in the next thousand years, even if a gazillion people would vote for it, and that is logical, i can understand that, but to read that imho better games are 'rejected' and silly games like paper planes with 10 votes or so arrived because the dev/publisher would like to release it anywhere.

Steam with its greenlight has made it possible that thousands of games have very bad reviews, lots of games that dont have the blue thumb, but are mixed (they use the ~ sign on the icon) or the dreaded red thumb down icon, the triple A games are doing well, but all the others have so many mixed and red thumb downs its funny to see that lots of people voted for it to greenlit them but nobody really like them.

Good thing about greenlight is the fact that there are lots of games that dont sell very much compared to others, but are available to be bought by the few people who like them and thats a good thing, i bought 30 games that had a mixed or a red thumb but i like them.

The problem with old classic are license related. I don't say, we won't see older games (from the 90's or never), but it is and will be more and more problematic, to get the rights or license to sell here (or even on Steam).

It is enough if you look at the games, that has gone from the GOG library:
https://www.gogwiki.com/wiki/List_of_games_removed_from_GOG

Yes, some have returned, but most not.
I don't mind zombies in games, if they're used in creative ways.
Which seems to be the case here.

ikrananka: Yeah, I believe that the developer's said somewhere that Lemmings was one of their influences for the game.
It served as influence, but it's certainly not a clone.
