Release: Hard Reset Redux

<span class="bold">Hard Reset: Redux</span>, a heavily upgraded edition of the cult-classic cyberpunk FPS, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% launch discount or 85% for owners of Shadow Warrior (2013)!

Humanity is under siege. Bezoar, the last bastion of mankind, is being attacked by bloodthirsty machines seeking to download its extensive data-bank, where billions of digitized human minds are stored. It's time for a last stand. It's time for hard decisions. It's time for a Hard Reset.

The relentless gunplay, the wanton destruction, and the hardcore sensibilities that gained the original its cult fame, are back with a vengeance. Hard Reset: Redux brings a barrage of improvements, including better visuals, a new enemy type, a sweet dash move, a mean-looking cyber-katana, optimized performance, and an all-around more balanced experience. Definitely a far more enjoyable one than what our mechanical overlords would want us to have, should they were allowed to succeed...

Lay waste to an army of nefarious contraptions and cause a <span class="bold">Hard Reset: Redux</span>, DRM-free on GOG.com.
But I don't have Twitter :<
So got this cause it was $3, and so far I'm not sure...

First impressions after 3 levels (or about 2 hours) is... hmmm... It runs well, very smoothly, I like the cutscenes that are multi-tasking with loading the remainder of the game.

However the pattern is only too easy to tell what's going on. Go somewhere, fight robots along the way, flip a switch, enemies spawn behind you and you have to kill them all.

Secret areas are confusing since you're told early on these exploding orange barrels will open up secret areas, but only a few times in the first level, the rest of the time they aren't.

Too much circle strafing, although using the environment to destroy enemies is a nice touch with as many different items as are there.

I can't recall the music. Voice acting is okay. Physics are okay as well. Enemies don't vary much. And you're cut off from areas because you can't duck, or otherwise do what would make simple sense to do.

All in all it's giving me more a headache as an FPS game than anything else.
Does anyone know how to take a screenshot in this game? I see a "screenshots" folder, but the game doesn't list a screenshots button.
Tried it for an hour or so yesterday. Not bad. Runs fairly well on my not-so-up-to-date PC.

Pro-tip: Don't use FXAA. For some reason that option is currently bugged out as it turns the game into a blurry mess.

Isn't the whole point of secrets that you actually have to look for them? =P Those early tips are simply there to tell you that there are goodies stashed away, typically out of sight. Some are fairly obvious, though they may be put in places that are not on your direct route, others are stashed in out-of-the-way or harder-to-reach spots. Most of the time blowing things up are not going to reveal them.

Bugged out?
That's just FXAA being FXAA unless you mean it's even worse than usual.

Press the Print Screen button? I'm not on the right computer to boot the game up and test it, and not ready to put my brain back in the blender either...

Print Screen doesn't work either. It's just really weird to see a "screenshots" folder but apparently there's no way to use it.
Has anyone else noticed an issue where the game seems to pause for no reason? I've noticed this during the boss fight in the hospital level.
nvm

Damn that's a nice prize, good luck guys. Guessing there's going to be a lot of entries for this one though.

Shadow warrior (2013) was great, will check out Hard Reset at some point.

It works, if you disable fullscreen from Options/Video
See attached, funny how a gog game gives a ssteam error :)

Fair enough, doesn't really matter as I don't generally care about scores anyway.
Just wondering if they bothered to implement it somewhere.
Any news on the winners?
